I think it’s Mercy

Wrecking Ball or Sombra

who do you mean by shrek?

  1. Hammond
  2. Wrecking ball
  3. Zenyatta

Replace wrecking ball with doomfist and I agree. Gm doomfists dont even look like they play the same game as everyone else.

IMO by category

Support: 1. Ana, its basically aim, and its not easy with her.
2. Lucio, because there’s a real niche to him. You have to have wall ride down while being effective, and really know when to speed or heal. Once you master wall riding you’ve got half his kit down.

Tank: 1. Hammond, he’s high skill and you have to use him properly or he’s a bigger ult feed than Roadhog
2. Rein, you have to read the enemy so you can block a shatter and he’s about positioning and when to swing your hammer. He’s very situation skill IMO.
2.5 Winston He has a basic kit, but pulling him off properly is the tricky part.

DPS: 1. Obviously Tracer and Genji. Their kits.
2. Widow, positioning and headshots or you’re useless.
3.I’m personally putting Doomfist because you can’t just aim kill, he takes some mechanics to be effective, more than just combos IMO. You can’t just play him and immediately be good.

I think the hardest dps to master would be Genji or Tracer because they are heavily reliant on their CD management and aim, and the fact that they are flankers - so they’re not with the team - means that they have to self-sustain a bit.
The hardest tank for me is by far Hammond. He is really weak against CC and he has a huge hitbox. Mastering the grap mechanic is definitely not easy. The second in the list would be Zarya I think. She pretty easy to play overall compared to some others but to really master I think she’s really hard.
For the support category I think Ana is definitely the hardest with Zen being a close runner up. She is really hard because you need to aim, compared to other supports, you are heavily reliant on your ablities and she is very weak against dive. Zen is a close second because if you don’t dps with him you waste a lot of potential and he also has no mobility or way to defend himself if he is dived.

According to higher ranks, I would say (for each class): Hammond, Zarya, Genji, Tracer, Zen, Ana.

But it changes according to the player.
I have friend who loves playing tanks and projectile DPS, he can’t do much with Mercy.
I can do easy stuff with hitscan heroes and healers but I really suck with projectile heroes (especially Pharah)

The big troll from the movie by the same name I assume.

Shrek is an ogre.
Ogre are like onis.
Genji has an oni skin

He means genji!

While i don’t agree he’s the hardest to master, I also don’t believe he’s a beginner hero.
With smurfs riddled across low ELO’s zenyatta is a very easy target and that’s only made worse with less experience, not to mention the heroes that smurfs wipe with most are all Zen’s worst nightmare.
If I wanted my friend to get frustrated and give up OW quickly Zen would be a top suggestion along with Doomfist and Wrecking ball.
These are all some of the most fun heroes in the game once you get good at them though.

As long as you’re higher than bronze…In the current build, Pharah

all heroes are hard to master but just at different junctions.
something in particular? positioning? aim? mechanics? game sense? awareness?

Winston/s

Reach masters? Any hero can do it. Reach top10 onetrick? Most heroes cant I think

Mccree, Widow, Tracer.

Tank: Wrecking Ball (considering how screwed he can get from level geometry and cc abilities)
Damage: Doomfist (it feels like your working twice as hard for something other characters have an easier time doing)
Healer: Zenyatta (Was gonna put Ana. But Zens hitbox, how important positioning is for him, managing both healing and damaging and how easy it is to cripple him puts him above Ana.)

How would any of us know? Only 0,5% of the playerbase have mastered a hero. Doesn’t have any relevance to someone who isn’t in an owl training camp with a coach.
