Honestly if they continue to nerfs tanks as they have been I see myself switching to support.

Hammond is exactly where he needs to be.
Very strong if you put in the effort to master him, has very clear counterpicks and counterplay, can very easily be utterly useless.

Hammond is an example of a perfectly sorted-out tank. If a Hammond comp ever becomes top tier in ladder without direct buffs to Hammond that would push him over the edge it’s a sign that the tank role is too weak because his skill cap and ability to be hard countered SHOULD make him a less useful tank in ladder. If the best tank in the game is as easy to counter and as hard to play as Hammond then it’s a sign that other tanks need buffs.

This change was put in months ago and it made no significant change to his pick or win rate.

No one had any issue with it at all. The only reason you all are complaining is because the other tanks got nerfed to the ground so now people are playing other tanks.

Do you notice the trend that no matter what tanks are picked you all still seem to complain they are OP. Did you ever just fathom that maybe it is you?

This thread is just proof that it doesn’t matter how skilled a hero is, nowadays if they’re good people just want them nerfed. Moira being meta AND easy? I get why that’s frustrating. But most players can’t even use Hammond effectively because he’s hard to master. And if you are good with a hero like that maybe you deserve to be meta. He’s not in need of nerfs, you just need to be better at the game and less of a whiner.

was a mistake buff that should be reverted. Sacrificing his mobility to stock up on defense was a noteworthy choice to make.

I have close to 300 hrs on ball now and the buff was def needed. The range at which you get shields is extremely small which means for you to be able to get shields you had to LEAVE ball form, get shields, then enter ball farm again. That is an eternity and is why

The ability didn’t work before they changed it, if you rolled through the enemy to activate shields and stopped then you were more likely to die than if you had not. So Adaptive Shields was basically only used with Piledriver and encouraged feeding into the enemy.

It’s not skillful not to ever use an ability outside one specific scenario (piledriving) because it will get you killed.

especially if that ability is suppose to keep you alive. 600 barrier means nothing if you have to be in melee range and takes several seconds to use.
