I really don’t consider this a bug, more like an oversight that should be changed. In the latest summer games update, they released the Gridironhardt Reinhardt skin.
Over the past 20-30 competitive games, I’ve come across a lot of players using the Gridironhardt skin. Granted it’s not the best looking skin, I’m confused as to why people generally choose it over something nicer like Bloodhardt or such. Until I noticed there being a delay in the voice line for that particular skin. I don’t have the best hearing by any means, but I can definitely tell there’s something wonky with that skin and the ultimate voice line.
I found a few videos floating around talking about this skin issue and it puzzles me that they haven’t extended it or tried to fix the voice line. When using his normal skin, he raises his hammer, yells Hammer- smacks his hammer down then finishes the voice line. With the Gridironhardt skin, he completes his ultimate before his voice line starts. I could be wrong, I could be imagining this. But I’ve heard from others that they experience this as well. I believe it’s the fact that the football skin voice line is shorter in length. Giving you way less time to react. I can usually defend against a Reinhardt earth shatter with enough time to spare, but with the Gridironhardt skin, it’s next to impossible. Even Seagull mentioned that the skin was buggy. Granted he should’ve probably expected that earth shatter to come out.
