i guess i give them too much credit
If this is actually intended then it is a great new, because sig’s ult is objectively too strong and need something else to counter it than just a sleep dart and the hook.
I’d like to see them try it but increase the cool down on Fade personally.
This would make Moira take way more skill to play but also have the potential to be more of a play maker at the same time.
Moira literally just has to hit fade and the whole ult is done for. Sym had to hit E, wait for the setup, and then transport out. Grav isn’t itself dangerous, it’s the follow up damage, and each second counts. Flux however rarely gets combo’d with other ults and most of it’s value comes from it’s slam damage. Fade negates that damage.
Nah, that statement is as hyperbole as the Symm one was to be honest.
It lasts 1/4th of the ultimate duration, takes another 1/4th of it to activate, and does not allow anyone to actually escape without additional mobility. Also, it puts Moira IN the Grav instead of escaping it and healing safely like she normally would.
I think the change is probably a bit over tuned right now, but the effect it has on Grav is grossly being exaggerated just like Symm TP. I think it’s a fair comparison.
A. We’re talking about flux
B. You can totally escape Graviton surge with no movement abilities.
A. You shouldn’t call it “Grav” then edit: I see you didn’t, the person you quoted did – hence my confusion
B. Wrong, mathematically impossible given that Grav is 6m radius and heroes move at 5.5m/s
I differentiated? Note how I use Grav when I mean Grav and Flux when I mean flux.
Also if my crumby PC can record it I can get you video proof.
Yeah I made an edit.
just because something has low cooldown, doesn’t mean you should use it ever single time it’s up. Now that Moira’s Fade is more beneficial to the party, it would behoove Moira’s to save Fade, only use it for themselves if it’s reasonable( Just like Brig Shield Bash to escape or stun ults), at same time, if she is pressured by flankers or supports, and pops fade, someone can call it out and any ult will wipe the party. People already track fade/shield bash to punish Moira’s/Brig
Moira’s Fade is her only escape option, she has slow walk speed, and no vertical movement she can simply go into like Bap.
Moira’s with this Fade should hold onto it longer, but it’s nice to have option to save it for bigger plays. 1 Sec invul, isn’t that strong when it’s tied to her only option to escape and survive, esp. when you have Immortality field that can last longer than her Invul, x4-x5 longer.
If she uses it to cleanse anti, she can get ulted/pressured after, if she uses it to escape ult, she can get anti’d, anti+grav would only help Moira, so if the enemy spaces out their ults and anti-heal, it would counter this fade.
There is nothing new to how you handle 6s cooldown that can negate ults, because shield bash does that to other ults already.
Here you go
Actually, latency aside I think this guy nailed it, where the actual grav is matters too:
Yep, I responded in your thread. According to official OW stats it should be impossible. I would imagine latency plays a factor as well though. How many times have you been behind a corner from your perspective but still got shot?
With such a tight window, I could certainly see how it could graphically be possible. I highly doubt it would be a reliable counter all the same though.
the position on the grav, it was farther from mcree and closer to moira when grav was used to free mccree, while 2nd it was closer to mccree which caught him as he escaped, but could roll out fast enough?
Just think guys, Miira has the answer to all the meta heroe that have been dominant just becayse there was no real way to play against it.
Dynamite now can be countered, means Ashe is free from further nerfs.
Antinade now can be cleansed, means Ana doesn’t need to be complained about so much cuz she actually has a counter now.
Flux, arguably one of the best ults in the game with huuuuuuuge impact and very easy usage now can be cleansed, making people picks something else for once and actually have a reason to switch.
I am right tho, you wont bail everyone every 6s. It is like saying Mercy rezzed 5 people everytime she used her ult which is false. It is like saying each one of your teammates is going to use Amplification Matrix at least once which is again, false. Sure, this will help her comps more, but what about the comps that she isnt in? Dont act like Moira is the end all be all support right now.
It IS rare and stupid. As if Zarya shoots perfectly at the ground and gets everyone. Sure, lets not take map geometry and how other heroes can escape her grav, sure why not. The scenario of you being in a 6man grav is again, rare and stupid. You wont see 6man gravs every fight, and as a Zarya player, I guarantee you that.
Yeah lets forget she is a support, which should be your primary target
Attacking me wont help you make your point across. Again, it is a great change, it needs to go live. If people were able to live with how mobile and bursty Genji was these weeks, people can live with an utility Moira.
lol few conditions needed for this circumstances to work.
- moira still has her fade when sigma flux.
- moira has to get into his flux most of the time for this to work.
- moira has to be at high ground for this to work. since she cant use this on her teamamte when they are being lifted up.
Assuming her whole squad will be tightly knit together in a 6m radius the entirety of the match.
If they aren’t on Bunker, it’s not happening.
