Goodbye Blizzard! I am wordless

Thing is, communities change and fluctuate all the time, yes blizz would lose a huge amount of people but also a huge amount of people would flock in, those who are open to play their games, it’s a risk I guess and a very business-y oriented decision but ultimately it’s just how things work

Yeah, because THIS will help with selling Blizzcon tickets. Making people scared their franchise will be the next to be hyped and then killed.

sorry but Diablo wasn’t killed just because it will now be present on mobile, if anything the lore will keep expanding. Thinking it will die just because there was a platform change is just hyperbole

I do see, as yes, many have phones, if not mostly everyone, according to sources done however, they have to factor in again, the demographic, who actually can afford the phones for games themselves and not just for basic use, and how they themselves as a company will focus this. I personally, wouldn’t like a mobile OW. Not at all as I have stated I really don’t have money to put out for the 4G and memory (also constantly looking for a cheaper phone) so it wouldn’t be for me, but the only reason Nintendo is doing well with it is because I feel they multitask and focus their demographics, never dropping or loosing fans, as they still have means to acquire money to make more games for console and have people working on mobile at the same time.

I feel Blizzard can barley put up with one ya know?

Most people disliked because it’s a “meme”.
Don’t your even think a few thousand of people actually mean anything to a brand with millions and millions of players.

And I’ll tell you a secret: People who care so much about a Franchise to do a “backlash” like this, are the first ones to apply for a beta to play the game when it releases, liking the idea or not. And you can’t forget the other millions of players who are gonna click “download” just because Blizzard is on the label.

They’ll release the game and if their core community abandon it, they’ll make it even more pay to win to satisfy the regular mobile community. Everyone loses at the end. A multimillionaire company don’t really care if a few fans got mad with a game release, because when Diablo 4 hits, all of them will play the game either way.

It’s 2018. People overreact and always will. More for some stuff than other, but at the end of the day, everyone will consume everything like they’re meant to.

Too much ahead of it’s time to justify the investment.
Give it 10 years and maybe it’ll become a reality.

I didn’t know it was a meme xD I bet with how Blizzcon went down, it must have made it even more a meme lol

Nah, it’s true! People who love a franchise are more vocal about it as indeed, they love it! However, my love for Nintendo games didn’t really help with the phone I have and money issued towards it only can go so far. And yeah, there will be millions that do, however, I am a Nintendo fan. I tried FE and that was it. I couldn’t play other games like Pokemon Go or Animal Crossing Pocket Camp because of the acquirement for the cash needed and I only ended up deleting it anyways for space. I am thinking this may be an issue? I dunno, I am curious as to how it will play out.

Way to sell out to EA Blizzard.

I bet you really think you’ll be making decisions on development too?

I may be annoyed by what you did in OW, but doesn’t justify selling out to EA.

Yeah, let’s see where it goes.
I just think the “gaming community” is too excited they hit Blizzard when they really haven’t. All my hardcore gamer friends didn’t really knew Diablo Immortal would even be release or about the dislike storm around it.

It’s a closed backlash for too passionate Diablo communties. It’ll be ok and sucessful just because it’s Diablo and it’s Blizzard.

I mean sure, I wouldn’t really play OW mobile either… or at least I think so? I think it’s very close minded to say that you wouldn’t enjoy a game if you haven’t tried it but I don’t play much on my phone either and I think we are at the brink of a change in mentality, 20 years ago mobile phones were just phones and people couldn’t conceive the idea of taking a pic with a phone, photography companies even complained about the danger of technology and look at where we are now…

All i’m saying is, perhaps mobile game IS the future, perhaps it isn’t, however, blizz made their choice and they have got huge IPs going to support said choice, will people leave? yeah, some, sadly but if the squeeze is worth the juice…

It’d be great for spectating, at least on my phone.

Indeed, emotions always run high in the beginning of something they don’t want (If they showed them Diablo 4 I bet this wouldn’t have happened actually as everyone was really waiting for that only) and basic thinking is sort of out the door since, of course, emotions, but I mean, you never know right? May sink or swim. I personally, want Blizz to do good, but sadly, I am not a mobile gamer so I will miss out and I will feel sad :frowning: I hope OW on mobile comes way later.

Give this person a medal.
It will put away a lot of people from those games, but will bring the oportunity for other MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of people to experience it.

Look at Heartstone. Even my non-gamer friends started playing it and played for more than a year.

Mobile is the way to go. Like it or not.

They stated that they’re planning on making mobile games and your immediate response is to leave the current console/PC game that you’re playing?

Indeed! I agree! It is the future for most haha Nintendo proved success with it! Pokemon Go was HUGE c: I myself though, will be the small percent not playing because I am poor and my phone sucks :frowning: Indeed change is here! I just want one thing from them: Focus evenly on the game I also payed for and we good. That is all. I just don’t want them forgetting about the game also made on PC and console that we play so religiously.

Well the good news is that since all mobile games are hyper-monetized for whales, the company will be selling out at a super high price tag.
Then they can… put that money into developing… more PC games?
Oh wait that’s not how it ever works out.

Anyone want to post that Chapelle “I’m rich, B” gif?

Yes definitely, I think OW and Diablo are very different in that aspect, Diablo was never an “in development” game and more so of a “release” type of game, it would REALLY suck if they completely shut down OW pc/console to go mobile

and a word of hope for you, remember that market is dictated by demand and supply, if more people seek gaming on phones and technology reroutes itself towards that path, prices on phones will drop, heck we got amazing phone options that are incredibly cheap as xiaomi and work amazing

For the time being though, we can enjoy OW and hope things stay bright for blizz
