I wonder if it’s worse on console because of the smaller playerbase. My PC Support main friends haven’t been complaining about queue times as much recently (Although my Support is Diamond, and I’m getting the long queues there).

To be fair, this gets VERY shaky with even a duo. The game can’t really balance a match where a GM and a Bronze are queuing together.

The good part about QP is that you can leave. No sense in sticking around for a beat down. If you have no chance of winning, why stay? The next match is typically better.

I’m a GM QP warrior… why does it matter…? I used to be a competitive person way back when in OW1 season 4 and never lost my skill after, even as a QP warrior. I’m just not competitive and have fun flying into the enemy team to go say hi to the enemy Mercy while I’m in Valk, for example.
Why does it matter where I play all because of my rank…?

i win about 7/10 games in qp normally if im playing the heroes im really good at, but if i play a hero im not good at then i win like 2/10 at best lol. QP is where i like to go to work on my fundamentals and decision making since theres no punishment for trying things that dont work or just messing it up
I’m not GM, but I actually find that I have a better win rate in QP than ranked. I wonder why that is.

The problem is the developers intended for Competitive Play to be our safe space, but that mode is FUBAR as well. Blizzard doesn’t look like they’re coughing up the money to hire a proper moderation team for in-game reports and matches so casuals are SOL. This is going to get worse next season when player ranks will inflate or deflate due to the new wide group matchmaking being added. Another problem for Quick Play players are all the Unranked to GM people or delusional Diamonds and up thinking they can rise higher on alternate accounts stomping them for their first 50 Quick Play wins.
You know this for a fact? They never play their mains in QP? You know every GM player personally and can verify this?
