With beat its actually a decent counter as he has to focus one person to kill and that’s a waste. Because that’s two ults wasted to get one person. But of course there is also another result of beat then boop the genji as he slashes. This way you negated the two ults completely.
With trans its tricky.
Slash dash is kinda hard to pull off especially under the trans conditions. If a genji managed to get a kill or two I say he earned it.
There’s immortality field but genji destroys that even if it’s behind him because his hit box is so big
There used to be rez
There are many ultimates and several abilities that will single handedly counter a nanoblade, I don’t think we need anything specific to target it.
Yeah, the hitbox on blade’s slash is actually ridiculous tbh.
beat + trans completely shuts down blade
beat defends the one-shot, preventing additional dashes, then nanoblade is a 170~ dps ult that can be comfortably healed by 300 hps trans
EMP/hack + trans does the same thing. No dash for Genji means no 200hp burst.
Hack or solo grav always works (hahahaha). That’s what my group does in Diamond/Master’s. EZ xD
Nanoboosts Lucio’s Ultimate
Gives triple the amount of shields
Do it.
wow thats crazy you mean to tell me that 2 ults beat 1 ult? freakin nuts man
Grav, Shatter, Flux, Bomb, EMP, Beat, Deadeye, Wholehog, Mines, and many more.
You don’t have to shut it down completely, if you can prevent Genji from getting a second kill while trading 2 Ults for 1, it’s a huge tempo swing for your team.
Except playing lucio and zen, or sombra in itself is already throwing.
Which is why I’m asking for 2 ults that can counter 2 ults. Crazy indeed.
While these can work, it isn’t consistent. These are also all tank/dps ultimates- what can supports do?
Grav and shatter can easily be baited and dodged through double jump and deflect. Flux and bomb, can also be easily dodged. Deadeye really isn’t a counter, with how easily Genji can kill him in it.
I would say the consistent ones there are Mines, wholehog, and EMP. However, EMP takes way longer to build and solo emping a genji is a win for the enemy team with how strong it is. Mines takes a lot of coordination to pull off, but it can work, yes. As for whole hog, genji can usually get a kill or two before knocked far enough away with his dash resets.
I’m asking for a support ultimate combo. I don’t see a problem with it.
Stop with this logic. Buff the counter to fix the problem is what created the stupid powercreep…
Just remove dmg boost on blade and put more ult time .
Blizzard hard counters nanoblade. So does shatter. So does grav. A CC or two with solid focus fire does great against it.
Nano trans
450 hps
That’s a bit too subtle imo
Maybe revert his decay from 125/s to 83.33/s?
I always disliked how Mercy couldn’t boost healing dealt, yet Ana could boost healing received & Bap can boost healing projectiles. I get it’s called damage boost, but I still firmly believe right clicking Zen, Moira, or whoever should increase their healing dealt as well.
Boop, stun, and get away. Outside of Lucio(and Zen against a Genji that doesn’t have his slash-dash dialed in) you counter his Ult by not dying to it, he’s coming for you after all.
(Ana can also completely counter it with a CD, but it shouldn’t be your plan A.)
If they jump the gun, sure. But a Genji that is jumping all over trying to bait shatter is burning time(and losing slashes) of his Ult. It’s a dance that favors the defenders, and within a few short seconds Genji will HAVE to commit.
Easily is a bit of a stretch, especially for Flux. That said if Genji spends 4 of his 6 seconds of Blade hiding from a bomb, that is a fantastic counter.
Genji absolutely can dive the McCree, but a well positioned McCree who is anticipating Blade and waiting on it, will be far away from his team forcing Genji to commit to him alone. 2 Ults burnt to kill an immobile DPS and loss of Deadeye is a great trade in my book, especially since Genji will be deep with all eyes on him when it finishes.
As a Sombra main, I’ll solo EMP a Nanoblade all day long. I’ll farm another before they can set up another Blade attempt, and a hacked Genji that deep is dead. 1 Ult for 2 leaving us in a 6v5(or 5v5 at worst) is a worthwhile use of EMP considering how quick Sombra can build it.
You don’t need a combo, just the ability to Ult track. Nanoblade is a lot like EMP, a good chunk of “countering it” takes place before he pulls the Blade, by anticipating it and knowing what to do and where to be to minimize its potential… also much like EMP it’s extremely telegraphed, so no one should be blindsided.
Just grav nanoblade & it eats both ults
lol you’re talking about using two ultimates to counter two ultimates… have you tried graviton ? have you tried using sigma’s flux? Have you tried bap lamp + trans ? Maybe rip tire + beat… Have you tried playing brig and literally just bashing and whipshotting the genji ? all of these work… there is no need to ult combo to counter this… literally NOTHING has changed with nano blade…
Maybe make Trans be able to keep Lucio shields from decaying. Things like that feel a bit out of character for the devs though, they mostly buff/nerf stats to balance, not make specific hero interactions.
