Honestly, almost every competitive game I have played has a score board. Gold medals mean literally nothing when it comes to Identifying what a team is lacking. Add a score board ( kills, deaths, assists ) and things like damage dealt for every hero, damage blocked etc. and leave it so we can view medals after the game finished as an indicator of our individual performance and where we improved in the past games.

my most requested feature is scoreboard. Would shine so much light onto matches. And toxic players that hide behind anonymity of stats wont be able to target NON META PICKS based on nothing.

It offers a better perspective on the game in general, if a person is feeding as a hero in a solid team comp. it can be much easier for people to understand what is actually going on…rather than saying I have gold medals…

Eh, I’m not convinced. I’ve won comp matches that took a mere 14 elims.
Depends on what you played, a mercy wont have a high elimination count no matter how hard she tries.
There are also games where there is tank that feeds, You might not see it, Yet, whole team is getting down on it. When they dont see it they might even be happy they have a tank. Bud in reality they would be better off with another dps.
Stats are a must honestly.
14 was gold and the entire team had around 11-13. I was D’va. What I would like to see is deaths. How often are your teammates dying?
Depends, but I stated that deaths should be on the scoreboard. Nothing breaks the game more than feeding ult charge and getting killed when you are out of position. Switch elims for final blows/ kills and add assist numbers as well as deaths.

they should choose a side, no stats or full stats. This kindasorta bs medal system is worse than nothing at all.

I’m sure the 3rd social feature that got pushed back was everything we’ve been asking for. Guilds scoreboards, better player profiles maybe a replay system.
It’s tough to get hype about a game when the future is so bright, but we must preserver!

I’m COMPLETELY frustrated by the ridiculous algorithm for POTGs and what gets put on the board to get upvoted. I cannot tell you how many time I’ve had 3 or 4 gold medals, and all it shows everyone is I got most objective time. WHY? It makes me not want to have most objective time just so I can avoid that BS. And I can be a total MVP and never be recognized at all. It is so damned aggravating to work your tail off to kill the right people, at the right time, get multiple trip kills, be on fire most the game, have 4 golds, and at the end of the game, it just says you got 4 minutes of objective time. Everything else you did does not matter and is gone in an instant. There HAS to be a better way than this. I’m finally losing steam on Overwatch because of this crap system that seems to only get crappier with time. Please, look at fixing this, guys. I have been a loyal player and purchaser of loot boxes for years and I want more to show for my work on this game…

Yea I’m not one of those people who think medals really mean anything but it’s still super annoying when you have toxic people on your team blaming you for a loss and calling you dog excrement and you’re like listen retards I had 4 golds and potg watch. And then you proceed to get either no card or infrasight uptime while torbs turret gets potg. Like thanks blizz.
What would it change though? Going in solo and using your ult tokill 4 and then die just to say “LoOk At mY K/d ScRuB” or using Zen ult after a Teamfight to instantly heal up your team, out healing Ana.
Why would you think they will EVER add it when they deliberately allowed players to hide stats from other players? I’m all for calling people out when they suck but

Well blizzard caters to every player and by this they allow you to hide your entire profile and give no information about you in any way to your team. You can /hidechat in comp and not join voice at all. So there will be no scoreboard.
Additionally medals mean nothing. I had gold medals with moira for elims and healing because i got eliminations for doing like 20 % of damage to 3 people with an orb that got killed afterwards and it counted as elims. This is also the kind of sugarcoating players to make them feel as they participated even if 4/5 of the work (in case of the elimination) was done by another player. At least set this number to 50%+ assits = kill and count the kill for the killing blow and not to everyone who did like 20 %.
If there would ever be a scoreboard it has to be really complex: Kills, deaths, (Assits?), Damage done, Damage taken, healing done, healing recived.
A lot of stats that would also be problematic to handle if people swap heros a lot. Imagine you start out as Ana, your team suddenly decides to go trippe tank, so one DPS picks ana while you go to DVA as you are the better DVA, afterwards you switch to ashe as your team changes comp again. So at the end your stats will look strange.
So while i agree that i would like to see the stats of my teammates people would rip them out of context for flexing players and blame them for being good at nothing while they are probably the reason you even won the game
