Hanzo hears someone calls him sniper shots arrow at that person.
You fail to realize that he has a better-Pharah-rocket every 8 seconds. That allows him to win many 1v1s as well as give him more domain over the map compared to many other Heroes (higher jumps = more routes/positions). He also has an AoE heal that allows him to WASD/crouch/shoot spam and still self heal while also healing allies (take notes, Mei, Cryofreeze is garbage and so are you).
Heâs meant to be an all arounder, his name is literally Jack - as in Jack Of All Trades - or a hybrid that does 3 or more things instead of 2. He deals decent DPS. Has burst when needed. Has decent AoE heal/self heal. He has infinite ground mobility, but itâs not seamless. He is fine and fits in with every comp, but is not always the absolute best choice since he isnât meant to be the best in any 1 area.
It should also be noted that since his kits has so many parts, it is harder to master AND is not as consistent as a more straight forward kit (such as Doomfist, which is about getting the combo off ASAP and then fleeing or Pharah which is just Rocket spam with as many direct hits as possible). Side note: straight forward kit =/= ez kit.
Hanzo is an ARCHER my dude. A sniper is a individual who uses⌠You guessed it. A sniper rifle.
And Widowâs one-shot potential is way higher than Hanzoâs anyways because of the projectile nature of his arrows. So even if Hanzo can oneshot someone. The chance that he does is pretty slim. Lest the enemy is braindead and just stands still doing nothing.
Better rocket than Pharahâs? Healing station is better than complete invulnerability for several seconds? Infinite mobility? Hard to master?
You could not be more wrong if you tried.
they should rather nerf the other ones
I have some bad news about guns. Realistically, they all kill in one head shot
Oh hunTy⌠HunTy, hunTy, hunTy. Youâll be OK once you see.
Helix Rocket > Pharahâs Rocket = The number game. As in 1 Pharah Rocket vs Helix Rocket. Compare them. Itâs an ability thatâs similar to another Heroâs primary fire. Of course it will be better if you compare 1 and 1. Better-Than-Pharah-Rockets doesnât mean âlul use this character instead of Pharahâ - itâs just stating a plain factoid based on the abilityâs stats.
Cryo-Freeze vs Biotic Field = honestly, Cryo-Freeze is a mess. Itâs best used in 1-2 second bursts, but is balanced to be 4 seconds long. So the full proper usage = niche, using it when it counts = meh/bad. Its only undeniably good attribute is it can block burst damage, the rest is bad/double-edge swords.
Biotic Field is better in almost every single way (except anti-burst ofc) for Soldier and his team, in terms of healing and even usability. It can even be used in a stalling-way (because survival with 40hps > survival with 0hps yay healing).
Infinite mobility = Sprint has no cooldown. It has no set duration. It moves faster than the standard movement speed (ofc). Hold down shift to NYOOM around the map for however long and however many times you please.

Hard to master = His kit is OK and easy to grasp, making him have a low skill floor (different from ceiling ofc). Other Heroes can perform parts of his kit better/more consistently. In most cases itâs better to pick Heroes with more concentrated kits because a team is made up of 6 different kits. So to perform above-average like the rest of his team, he needs to put thought into how he acts/uses his abilities - that just doesnât happen. In all fairness, most characters are hard to master for different reasons anyway.
One thing is for certain, the smaller the battle (3v3/etc), the more impact his kit has since heâs a Jack knife. Also since his kit has so many parts, he can find ways to synergize (albeit, not intensely) with many other Heroes. So he has to learn what parts of his kit are also good with other Heroes. Itâs not all just about himself.
And give him a bigger clip size to emphasize his sustained fire, low burst trade-off.
Also: why canât he reload while sprinting?
XD
20 charactersâŚ
Youâre comparing an all around mid range hero with heroes who are supposed to excel at long ranges, and initially be a counter to Solder:76, which is wrong. That 20 DMG is too much and should only be given back IF the new Pharah changes become too much for the playerbase.
I dont think you have a true understanding of soldierâs ult, its main power its not actually the aim assistance, its main power is that it eliminates all the spread on his rifle which translates into a ton more of dps that you cant replicate as consistently even with burst shots to the head, visor also makes the reloads much faster, making it a lot easier to sustain fire for longer periods of time == more dps.
His ultimate is actually fine imo, its his main attack and quality of life needed upgrades to stay relevant vs shields and armored targets.
-_- better in what way? both rockets have roughly the same speed, they deal the same damage but phara rockets have a larger splash radius and in the time soldier fires two, phara can fire 8 ⌠so your point is???
Soldier needs a higher ammo clip, probably 30. Less spread, maybe higher rate of fire to make him relevant.
the point is
1 his is faster less detectable has less audio cue etc.
2 more importantly he can finish of a target with 5 body shots after shooting the floor in front of them pharah cannot and only has one slow damage option
Considering how fast shields die today already I conclude that we already have far to much damage in the game right now and should absolutely not add any more.
Power-creep happened. Even with 20 damage back, Soldier will remain underpowered. He needs some buffs.
I suggest a 30 ammo clip for the rifle, plus 20 damage back, and heat-seeking missile on Tactical Visor.
Bastion has 20 damage
He also has a worse spread and a hitbox the size of Texas.
Thatâs true but then I wonder how they can buff bastion in recon without making it like current soldier or stronger while also buffing soldier.
I find his kit balanced. If they ever buffed him it would be just to deal a little better against armor by increasing his ammo by 5 or something. It wouldnât be big, or very noticeable. More just tweaks, and thatâs if anything at all. He will never be OP, or UP. JustâŚthere.
