Give. Genji. 150HP. 50 Shields

I think people are getting hung up about what I said regarding hitscan and mercy pocket. What I mean is that if they have a hitscan and a mercy on the enemy team, 80% of the time a 1v1 turns into a hitscan + mercy pocket before genji can finish the 1v1.

Then what does genji do? He leaves with low health. At this point, it turns into a game of chase down the genji which works extremely well on only genji and no other flankers. Tracer recalls. Sombra uses locator. Doom punches away with his 4 sec cooldown.

Rather than giving genji a buff to his base damage to deal with this genji specific issue, I suggest giving him slightly more survivability by exchanging a small amount of health with shields. Yes, he’s weaker to EMP, but his survivability is on par with other flankers. Because if you think genji has more survivability than any one of the other flankers right now in a flanking situation I think there’s a bit of internal bias going on there.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather see a buff to his base kit and nerf to his DB, but I don’t think that will happen based on the devs knee jerk with his shurikens in June that freaked the community out. This is a tiny buff that might put him out of throw pick land in masters+
