GGEZ/EZ considered abusive chat?

Speaking AT ALL to another player or players is a reportable offense because you can trigger them with anything. Welcome to the nu world of gaming.

Also, picks D.va, spams “Is this easy mode?” voiceline.

It doesn’t matter how you type it (ggez or gg ez) it still automatically changes it FYI.

Overwhelmingly most likely not the case.

You most likely are saying way more than that and are not telling the whole story.

Change your behavior if you got banned, that’s the only way to fix it moving forward.

“No, Galileo the sun revolves around the sun because everyone said so.”

If it’s open for interpretation there’s nothing wrong with it because you can’t just assume someone’s jntent

That would be ‘gg’ which I think most people don’t have a problem with.

People get so offended so easy these days its just so funny. Why would anyone care of what random faceless person on the internet said? Just silly.

I like to type gg ec btw hahaha

This is another instance where I wish there was a separate category for “poor sportsmanship” or something, because people always get hung up on whether or not (insulting/toxic phrase) really counts as “abuse”. And honestly, that’s barely the point. As it stands, “abusive chat” is the only category that there is to go, “hey, this person is purposefully being hostile, antagonistic, or rude to people”.

And also:

I have lost count of how many times we’ve seen threads like this that start with, “OMG, I can’t believe I got banned for [mild thing],” and then as the thread went on it became very apparent that there was a whole lot more toxic behavior going on than that.

I report everyone that says “gg ez or ez” for abusive chat, even if they are on my team. Doesn’t bother me personally and I take great satisfaction in ruining the days of generally awful people by getting them rightly suspended + it’s a nice life lesson

GG / GGWP / WP / GR all of those are fine. That’s called sportmanship
EZ/GGEZ/Rekt as mentioned above are abusive/toxic.

However, if this was CSGO or Rainbow Six with a more mature playerbase, then go for it, be as toxic as you like  but for the sake of the “kids” I must report you lol.

Sounds pretty deserved. That’s pretty bad sportsmanship.

Only if the losing team writtes it.

As a winning team your best choice is instantly leave the lobby.

I like to writte in match chat after i kill someone multiple times.

RÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ

I only say it to my own team usually.

Same, good game?

Wp to my team

Well, ‘gg ez’ on the in-game chat will effectively be masked by some other random selected sentence. It’s poor sportsmanship to say ‘ez’ after the end of a match, particularly if your team won. This kind of behaviour just promotes toxicity and is rightfully punishable.

Personally I would much prefer it if they removed ‘match chat’ from the game, and only had ‘team chat’, much like a game similar to Overwatch has done since day one. Match chat is rarely useful.

The system works. Work on being a better person and maybe you won’t get punished again.

Maybe.

Then it’s just a matter of mentality then because players can genuinely mean it, if people perceive it as insulting then that’s their problem.

Though in foresight, it doesn’t help that in every match of Overwatch it feels like you either stomp or get stomped and no in between.

As a secret hint to the op.

Just don’t use English.

Its dead simple.

I could wish you my worst nightmares in swiss, you won’t even realize.

These threads always make me chuckle.

So many people here keep saying things like

This is Okay ________
This is not Okay_____

I find that the average person who doesn’t give a damn about what other people type, tend to be the people who are the most kind and sincere. Those who try to make a distinction will always make things out that they don’t like to be vile and disgusting. But, the things they like to say which are just as abhorrent are “fine” for them to say. They always have the excuse of “I only say that to defend blah blah blah.”

How about you just turn off chat if you can’t handle what drops down in the text?
As I already said, there is a profanity filter so how much garbage do you actually see in that window anyway.

This is why I never, ever report, or even tell off people for saying “gg” first as the winner. I’d prefer to assume the best about it.
