The safest place to report someone is the spawn. Why? So you do not feed and die for trying to keep the community healthy. If you are actively filling out a player report, do not kick people for doing so. I don’t understand why I get removed from a game for filling out the report system you want us to use. I should not be kicked for letting you know that our tank is intentionally feeding and screaming (through text) at our DPS player for not getting enough kills in QP. Just figured I would share my brilliant idea of not punishing players for helping to moderate the player experience.
Does it really take you that long to fill out a player report? Usually if I start right after I die then I can be finished no more than 10 seconds after I respawn - 20 seconds total including respawn time.

I think people need to remember it takes a lot longer to type anything on console without a keyboard. I don’t type anything, I make use of the quick report thing they added recently in the scoreboard

Best place to go when making reports is to wait until after the match concludes.
Sometimes that team mate just for some reason randomly pulls through for you. Or they finally stop their behavior.
I type about 96 words per minute. so filing out a report for me is absolutely no issues. But I know for some people its much more difficult. So just save it for the end of the match, then think to yourself
Are you complaining about the person for something petty like “Sabotage” or are they actually being a chronic pest during the match this is spamming something repeatedly and not necessary to advance the match?
or are they cheating in some way , shape or form.
If it is a cheat. right click. File the report as a cheat. describe it quickly and file the report.
If its spam, report it be done.
If its just a complaint about someone you believe is or is not throwing. I mean just leave it be. Save it for after the match and decide for yourself were they legit acting out or just bad because bad.

you know, it’s kind of like stopping in the middle of the highway while other cars are speeding by just because you have to squash a mosquito that was flying at your windshield, and in the meantime your car parked there can cause accidents. while you write your report you stand still and the match goes on. it doesn’t matter if you’re reporting the most obvious cheater or the rudest player: you’re freeze and not helping your team. FACT.

you however cant report a player if they leave as they wotn come up anywhere like 2 mights ago i had an a opponent said to report their teammate who was a bot that left i couldnt ind then in the player list after the match

Yah I agree, i have come close to being kicked several times when filling out a report. I don’t think they will do anything about it though, I reported in the bugs section for years in ow1 because bastion gets kicked for sitting near point in turret form and the enemy team was not making it in to point for me to be able to shoot at

Type faster, or just wait until the match is over… not sure why you are spending the 2 minutes or whatever sitting there typing instead of trying to participate in the game.
The only thing that really needs to get done in-match is to mute/squelch/block that player.
uh… the safest place you can “fill out a report” which can easily be done during a round change, after a death and before you respawn, but it’s actually just AFTER A GAME btw lol.
If you are afk in spawn SO LONG because you’re typing up a report that’s on you.

Bliz does say that, particularly if voice chat is involved, it’s best to report as soon as the transgression happens as possible because they record voice chat, but not for the whole game. So if you report right after the transgression, the voice chat log will be included with the report, but if you wait until after the game, it probably won’t be.
That said, I agree with you that it shouldn’t take that long to report it; as I mentioned in my other post, I can usually do a report in well under 20 seconds, not nearly long enough for an auto-kick.
