It’s more like you’re playikg baseball and the pitcher is only throwing only some easy soft balls because it’s a for fun match between friends and he doesn’t feel like going all out. So one of his teammates keeps yelling him at him and calling him lazy and telling him to quit throwing
And it shows, what they mean is playing in a relaxed state enjoying the game, nor using callouts, maybe playing with characters they’re not good at or maybe using their ults in dumb ways.
In short, not playing optimally. which is more then fine to do in any quick play mode in any game. no one is advocating for you to be constantly throwing and afking mid match so don’t try that strawman

i dont mind the chill attitude in QP, but if you’re going to do that, you need to stop baying for blood of leavers. Fair is fair. If you can “chill” and “have fun” and somoene in QP doensn’t like that you’re doing that (esp. if it’s directly contributing to a loss); then let people leave the match. Then maybe someone else on the same wavelength will get in there and have fun with you.
I only have fun in QP when the team is trying to win the match. Period. I dont make any apologies for this.

what not playing optimally or at 100%? how do you know that? maybe that IS to the best of their ability, maybe they were just having off days I certainly do or maybe they had to counterpick onto a character they’re not good at (if i have to play Ashe or Dva i just can’t).
I’m no mind reader so i can’t say what another person i never met is or isn’t capable of. but what i can say is most people can tell when someone is malicious throwing or playing like a fool.

I don’t play arcade anymore since total mayhem doesn’t count towars challenges (only mode I liked) and there’s no lootboxes, so I dunno if no one cares there, but if all you wanna do is just “chill and pew-pew” go play practice and shoot for hours.
No, only comp is the mode where you’re allowed to want to win, don’t you know that? If you actually play like you’d even like to win, you’re a tryhard. QP is the mode where you run around like headless chicken with no plan or logic. Sure, try new stuff, but if you’re new stuff got you ten deaths in two minutes, maybe it doesn’t work?
Again, according to some, the only way to have fun in QP is to do dumb stuff, or even just throw (like running into the enemy and spamming “hi” and running off with support to DPS). I’ve heard the “I’m training” excuse so many times too. What are you training, coming out of the spawn? The enemy clearly ain’t gonna let you play this. I’d like to play nothing, but Rein, but here comes Bastion, Pharah and Orisa, so I don’t stay Rein.
Bottom line, some people need to stop treaing QP as the second class gamemode simply cause it doesn’t hand out imaginary internet points. It’s like trying only if you get a reward.

Yeah and that’s the beauty of qp, you can be a problem, and it doesn’t matter. and people can not like you and guess what, it doesn’t matter. people can play who they want when they want whether it works or not, as long as they’re actually playing the game and not being an a§§
Go to Competitive and stop crying about QUICK PLAY (the game mode designed for people to learn the game)

There are no callouts if nobody is in VC.
And? I don’t remember callouts being a necessity for winning a match, in fact I’m pretty sure most of us win our matches without any VC callouts, especially thanks to the ping system. But you know let me take a quick look at the Competitive guide that says that Callouts are a necessity. Oh wait doesn’t exists again.
Should having a Gaming headset also be a prerequisite to playing in comp,
how bout having a ping lower then 96 too.
how about if you’re listening to music while playing comp should that also qualify as not playing optimally or to the best of your ability and there for you’re the problem.
You gave not giving callouts as an example of casual play. It’s also not optimal. It sounds like you would call competitive mode casual as well.

My point is that, you nor I, nor anyone else can say for certain what is playing competitively vs casually. and we most certainly can’t say if someone is playing to the best of their ability or not, someone not playing optimally is normal, if not expected because if you were constantly playing optimally then you’d be at the top of the rankings but of course most comp players aren’t going to be and shouldn’t be expected to

had this tracer that was just constantly running into their full team and dying ea time . i asked why is he doing that and app it ‘doesnt matter if its just qp’
after the 4th identical death i stopped healing her and was immediately told they will report me for not healing , i asked why should that matter if its just qp but app this logic is just a 1 way street , you learn something every day 
I mean, yeah, absolutely, but you do it with the knowledge that other people aren’t doing that.
If QP doesn’t let the OP practise in the hardcore competitive way they want, maybe its not for them.
