Get rid of new leaver penalty in QP

Then play non-multiplayer games, OW is competitive game even in qp regards, leaving is against competitive integrity. Besides, if you play small amounts, you are probably not skilled enough to define win or lose conditions to claim upon your team capabilities. Rules are rules, and they work great considering the nonsense like this pop on the forums trying to advocate and excuse for leaving.

Quality > Quantity, good riddance.

What do you know about that with your 2 hours a week for the game? Mb it is your lobbies have such behavior, I wonder why =)

I don’t think he really said this. Looks like he’s looking for good games and just riding out a poorly matched game feels bad no matter how long.

Because often it is the players fault, they died once and quit. They lost the first point and quit, they lost the first round.

Multiple times I have said I think the matchmaking can be improved, just it wont be a big difference, as people can queue very far apart in ranks, people can play their good heroes or not. If by any means necessary means not allowing ppl to play with friends, or try out heroes they dont have the most hours on, then I disagree with those measures. It is after all, unranked. Unranked doesnt mean quit if things are not going y our way.

Tell that to the people who say “who cares its qp” imo those people ruin more matches than leavers. Its a combination of poor matchmaking and people who simply don’t care because theres no “rank” at risk so again if theres going to be no competitive integrity people should be allowed to leave OR improve match quality and punish people for leaving. Pick one.

FUlly agree, and this game is going to Perish to “The Finals” which comes out the same time COD launches their next game. Its deserved.

The Finals is much more fun than Overwatch, and if people need to dip out. The system rematches players.

Overwatch has been a thoughtless wreck since Jeff Kaplan left. and the owners have actively sabotaged it for the sake of supporting CoD. So eitherway. its a waste of time playing Overwatch and the penalties put in place, just show they aren’t willing to put any other thought into building better matches in the first place.

“UN-winable” matches caused leavers.

your time is more valuable than the others
and your right is more important than the others too

so other need to knee down when you come to play game with your limit time
you quit they should feel grateful

seriously ,why i need to team with someone that quit or i need to backfill the mess those people create

year 3 of asking for quick play to be quick.

make a competitive unranked mode for those that wanna be sweaty but dont want to deal with SR nonsense

It is quick tho. Queues are like as fast as they have ever been.

Vice versa. Stop telling people who stick with games to calm down and take it less seriously and then turn around and lose your mind when you get stomped. Clearly the game means something big to leavers if they freak every time things go badly.

Most people being called “tryhards” are pretty chill and just want to play a quick game that won’t last for a half hour. Especially if you turn off comms (sadly).

All that’s being asked of you is to show up, do your best, and have fun. If you can’t do those three things then it’s not even worth it to play the game.

On my region, I can tell the ratio it’s like 60/40 probably, “calculated guess”.

60% are rage quit, impatient people and 40% disconnects and the difference is, 'cos refills most of the times kicks in so fast, by the time the other person returns they get to spectate since their spot was refilled.

Your argument don’t justify the leave or the fact some other person gets dragged into that.

I have few games, my team gets steamrolled, guess what ?
I don’t leave, I stick to it, sometimes you actually flip the outcome of the game.

There is a reason my endorsement is level 5 since long time ago
And people asks me how I do it ?
I don’t leave my games, at all and try to stay positive in team chat.

Sometimes, you also flip the outcome of a match that I just refilled, should I assume the person that left was the problem then ? Of course, NOT.

They need to change matchmaking and stop mixing different skills levels, I doubt they will since Blizzard thinks this keeps engagement on.

Just please next time you want to leave, think you’re going to screw someone else.

Again where did i say calm down and take it less seriously. Do. Not. Put. Words. In. My. Mouth. I called no one a try hard. All i ask is that the game penalizing me for leaving games has a halfway decent matchmaker. Not putting me in unbalanced matches with feeders, and players who simply do not care making matches the epitome of unfun. Keep pushing 100% of the blame on leavers and not blizzards matchmaking though, that’ll fix things

I would love this but once it becomes popular all the current people who play qp “for the lulz” are gonna hop over and contaminate it.

I hear what you’re saying about QP not being like Competitive and shouldn’t be held to the highest standard but… you have to think about this logically. The Leaver penalty kicks into ban effect when you leave 4 out of 20 matches (10-minute ban) or 6 out of 20 matches (30-minute ban) within a short period of time. If you’re leaving even 4 matches that quickly, why are you even playing this game in the first place. If matches are so bad that you need to keep leaving them, then maybe play a different game. It’s that simple…

My issue is that when I play with my friends and one of them disconnects when loading into the match I now have to play it out without them instead of being able to go back to the main menu and re-queue with the person I actually want to play with because I get a penalty. How does that make any sense?

The more i think about it the more bonkers it is to complain. The leaver penalty is quite lenient. You need to leave a lot of games to get banned. I scarcely leave any games. Matches don’t take that long. If you only have time to play matches you win, try a single player game and lower the difficulty

You can leave before the first timer is up, before you are able to run around in spawn. You will get no penalty for doing so. But also if you leave after that, yes it counts, but you can leave 3/20 games without any penalty at all, so its not a big deal. I would assume it is rare for your friend to have that problem in the first place.

Forcing players to stay in low quality matches is poor game design.

If you have limited time, don’t play multiplayer games, it’s simple.
I do agree with them having to fix their horrible excuse being the match making ,though.

There is no timer. Once you leave your first match you have the tag for however long it takes for you to play twenty more matches without leaving a single one. You can technically leave 1 match a week and get the ban if you don’t play many matches in a week.

correct. you have to hit 4 match leaves within 20 matches and the ban kicks in. Or 6 match leaves within 20 matches.
