That’s an even worse proposal than removing all of them. Games need to be easily readable, if blade is randomly effected by certain damage boosts, but not others, you’re forsaking all instinctive game readability for arbitrary balance according to current trends.
Except if talking about a heroes skill cap you don’t include skill floor. That’s just silly and why low ranks don’t matter when talking about a hero’s difficulty. Ofc widow’s skill floor is harder than genjis but her ceiling is no where near his.
I disagree, widow can, in theory, output infinite value because she can, in theory, kill 4 people alone if she just hits her shots.

That’s why cheating widows are so hard to deal with after all.
Widow cheaters are also difficult to deal with because the hero has the most cookie cutter flowchart positioning in the entire game. Her interactions are also much less varied, and often come down to “hit head or lose.” She’s mechanically hard but her positioning and gamesense requirements are very simple. Genji isn’t quite as mechanicallly difficult but he has the hardest and most adaptive positioning in the game, requires expert communication to get value (this is partially cuz he’s bad), has the most varied and complex interactions, Multiple aimstyles and is much more punished for mistakes. Genjis ceiling is far higher than widow’s.
The Devs aren’t scared to change Genji because of his vertical mobility. They explicitly stated that they removed some of his buffs because of his high burst damage potential, not his mobility. If anything, Genji’s mobility is the least of their worries.
It really wouldn’t. The main reason why the Dev teams are reluctant to change Genji is because of his nanoblade combo. If you buff his base kit to the point where its really good, you’ll have not only a solid base kit but also a good ultimate.

Nope. I do however think his range is supposed to be dependant on finishing. He should not be played at point blank unless he is cleaning up a kill. His whole kit is built around getting in and getting out, not staying there like a hyper mobile reaper like the genji mains want. Poke for general use and engagement, shotgun only when you can get in and confirm a kill.

I don’t want a raw unboostable blade. I want blade and nano to get tweaks in order to not hit the breakpoint and that blade and nano together are still good without being the best combo in the game

remove damage resist on nano boost, and give it something else, like faster atk speed or faster movespeed
I just don’t understand why you want him to remain an m2 bot. Any other character main would be rioting if their PRIMARY fire was as unreliable and garbage as genji’s.
Like I don’t want him countering widows at 60m, but making it usable and reliable beyond 10m would be a freakin start.
You complain about the amount of CC in the game, whilst also trying to keep him as an m2 bot - forcing him to always be in very close range of his enemies. I just don’t see how those 2 things add up.
I just see the same thing over and over again, like the bastion mains. You guys just keep refusing to accept big changes as a viable option for making them good/ balanced but shut it down because it “ruins the character”.
I think what ruins the character is trying to force them into the current game with kits that have become more or less outdated hahaha.
if we keep 200hp get rid of nanoblade, if we get 175hp with 30 damage, spread and deflect cancel u can nerf his hp but we keep nanoblade.
The reason is his entire kit is designed around close range. Why would i spam m1 if i’d not be able to consistently finish off my targets from distance? besides, 30 damage shurikens are already a decent buff for his primary.
Also, 0.75s recovery is not m2 bot as it’ll be more punishing for a miss but will reward you for landing shots.

Nano is fine, removing the damage resist and giving it one of those 2 would make nano rein and nano monkey broken, I think that dragon balde shouldn’t be allowed to be damage boosted in general, and in return his kit is actually good so he isn’t just trying to blade bot the entire game.
It really doesn’t. Double jump is used in every other rank for a multitude of purposes. It’s only annoying when people cannot aim.
