Pro players have the same opinion.
They say, when asked, that Tracer and zen are the most difficult heroes to play.
I just think that this may hold him back, the devs once even said its problematic to balance. But I believe its pretty iconic?
Maybe one could give it cooldown but then it might feel clunky. 
But i rly believe that they won’t touch genji at all until ow2 
And tracers ult is more difficult to use, too.
And doomfists ultimate is terrible, Genji pays the price for blade in his kit, not it being boostable.
Okay so ana and mercy get 1 synergy taken away. Both are clearly fine without him. Ana is a top 10 owl and gm pick. Mercy is top 15. Genji is bottom 6 for gm and owl. His synergy with them clearly doesn’t affect their viability if they’re picked and he isn’t.
Orisa and every future heroes as well.
Not to mention zen.
Doom isn’t good but he’s far better than genji. Stats show it. I can tell you from experience. The gap is massive.

Oh no you can’t damage boost a blade. Heaven forbid an ana, mercy have to coordinate with another player to get value out of their ult and not waste it. maybe nano Zen should boost trans healing too? Poor wittle ana made a mistake but it should just break the game because it’s “inconsistent”
Most owl pros argue tracer or genji or both are the hardest. Very few say Zen.

I think that putting it on a cooldown would be fine, but I wouldn’t be opposed to getting rid of it if his base kit gets compensated.
Okay? I’m not trolling your just coming up with nonsense. Btw you can’t DMG boost so that doesn’t affect Zen and therefore responding is irrelevant. Hanzo can’t be damage boosted but discord still makes it do more damage because it’s classified as a debuff. Also I’m pretty sure we don’t balance the current game around heroes that don’t exist lmao. There I responded

People that say widow are just hitscan players. That hero is not hard if you play her where she’s actually good. Genji and tracer are always hard.
I love the idea of removing nano blade and making his kit good, it would make him a billion times better.

Sadly if you remove something like nanoblade the community would literally scream and poop their brains out. That’s why it’s hard to give Genji 30 damage shurikens.
Some of the community would mald over it,but I think it would make genji more enjoyable and not just a blade bot since you could actually make consistent plays without blade or a pocket.
No hero is hard in lower ranks. That’s why they’re lower ranks. It’s a popularity contest and genji often wins
