Get ready to predownload Overwatch 2 guys! (Started)

Wow. Do you mind sharing what each of your monitors are? I want to look at the specs.

I game on a 1440P 165hz and haven’t seriously considered going for 240hz cause for my needs/wants it think I won’t really care much.

I like my 165hz more than my 144hz, only cause it’s a 32’’. The 144 is 27’’, but the Blacks are richer.

i dont play shield tanks but i feel i will get massively reported for not playing a shield tank

But I only downloaded like 20-30 gigs on PC and it says 50. Is it like the beta where it was cheaper because OW1 is there? Will I have 10-20 more gigs on my sdd on the 4th when I delete what’s left of OW1?
I must know!

Probably, but nothing will happen as well.

Thems fighting words :eyes:

Not enough :coffee::teapot:

I have 4 at the moment. Damn, starting to think I might have a problem. Here they are in order of most to least favorite.

  1. God tier. I won’t upgrade this one for a while.
Acer Predator XB323U GXbmiiphzx 32" WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS Gaming Monitor, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, Certified DisplayHDR600, Up to 0.5ms, Up to 270Hz

  2. God tier. Technically a smart TV but true 120Hz, G-sync and low input latency. I use this for any game played with a controller. PC and PS5 games look incredible, but older console games at 1080p look like piss due to the low PPI.
    LG CX55 (OLED55CXPUA), 55", 4K, 120 Hz, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos

  3. Solid display. This is my first real gaming monitor and I still have it.
    ASUS ROG Swift 27" 1440P Gaming Monitor (PG279Q), QHD (2560 x 1440), IPS, 165Hz, G-SYNC, Eye Care

  4. This was supposedly one of the top two 360Hz options out. I found it disappointing. Also 24.5" is too small for me, even with a desk mount to pull it close to my face. I used this all last month and then the moment I swapped back to my Acer Predator, it was instantly clear how much better the Predator is (speaking of Predator, Prey was awesome).
ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz PG259QN 24.5” HDR Gaming Monitor, 1080P Full HD, Fast IPS, 1ms, G-SYNC, ULMB, Eye Care

By the end of the year we’ll see some 1440p 360Hz at 27". It’s exciting but I’ll probably skip them for now. BenQ is also releasing their Zowie XL2566K, which is another 1080p 360Hz, but they now have their dyac tech running at max refresh rate. This could be promising.

Don’t play shield tanks out of fear of others disapproving actions. Do it to improve overall.

As a main tank main, if you get reported for not playing shield tank then it’s the idiots who don’t know how to play the game properly. Shield tanks are only effective on certain maps. For example, on Gibraltar can be a bad idea due to all the high ground (Rein can be a sitting duck), then on Junkertown there’s all that open terrain heading to first point that leaves certain main tanks exposed on the flanks.

If people report you for that then it’s them who just should uninstall the game for being absolute idiots. They should go back to square one and watch “how to play…” guides. If anything report them for being toxic if they start pushing it.

I’ve been playing main tank since Beta. If anyone gives me crap for my tank selection and thinks they don’t know what I’m doing on certain maps, it’s an insta mute and they’ll be getting zero help from me during the game as they’re already a lost cause and a hindrance to the team.

I got my email today. I laughed and deleted it.

I got mine yesterday. I laughed and kept it.

Thanks for sharing. I don’t ever see myself going back to 1080p. The combination of smoothness and beauty will hold me over till it becomes optimal to game at 4k 144 on high settings. Maybe we’re already there, I don’t keep up with tech as much as I used to.

That first Acer is priced pretty reasonably. I expected a couple hundred more.

Exactly what they said.

I main Support, but it almost always annoys me when someone starts going on about needing a shield tank, especially when we don’t need one and they keep getting melted.

There’s a very large portion of the player base that really don’t understand the game, and many have been playing for years.

Yeah it’s a case now where picking the wrong tank for the map can be disatrous. Like in my early main tanking noobie days I thought Rein would be perfect for ALL the maps. I learnt a very harsh lesson lol

Yeah, that’s why I’m a huge advocate for playing most if not all heroes enough to get an understanding of how they work on all maps, and their interactions with every other hero.

Experience is the best teacher. Especially when failing.

for tank im a D.va main while DPS im a Tracer main and honestly it was my aussie friend who recommended i start off as d.va which for me turned out well

Man I have to be honest. I’ve played Dva and good god-I utterly suck as Dva lol. I’ve tried so many times to improve but I just can’t do it and always go back to Rein. Every time I try to play Dva I just get melted so fast lol.

i suck at other tanks i have my reasons i wont touch sigma or rein and plus on previous accounts they didnt work out for me like how d.va does

Yeah same. For example I never play Orissa, Sig or Ball. Ball especially-he triggers me so hard in the game, so the thought of me even thinking of playing as him sets the salt flowing lol. Orissa just incredibly boring. Sit back, shield, fire, shield dies-rinse and repeat. And I hate double shield so as a result I hate Sig and Orissa

i tried playing orisa today as d.va was taken and i got absolutely destroyed as her and i even told my team i wasnt good with her but they got mad
