Why give genji love but not those performing even worse?
Ofc at the end imho we should have dive, bunker, and more great viable comps. At best with every hero beeing usable with enough dedication.

He’s one of those heroes whose max value is very much tied up in his Ult. The ult charge nerf will hit him hard, I think.

I’ve seen him once or twice.
4th most picked dps in GM this week. 6th best dps winrate. 2nd most picked dps in Masters. Literally the middle winrate for dps I think? Calling him the ‘worst’ is a bit far fetched. He’s just not necessarily the best.
The problem is his ult. They’d need to rework him if he’s allowed to be legitimately good again.

Genji runs around wiping teams with dragonblade. I’d say he is not doing so bad,
He was a good pick, but was replaced by widow on some maps - especially defense.
He is still used in pro-play (Haksal).
Stats say that he’s one of the most picked DPS and with a solid winrate across ranks, in a meta that shouldn’t favor him.

SYM/TORB is better than genji in higher ranks.
first, this is an account I use only for posting on the forums., people here have a habit of false and salty reports, so I don’t post on my account here, second Ill add you on my gm account if you want me to.
third I play more than genji in gm, infact I first climbed to gm as a TANK player. I just want genji to be playable without needing ana and the crutch of nano blade to get any amount of usefulness.

It’s pretty clear you can’t reason with the unreasonable. They were shown actual stats proving Genji has been remarkably consistent as one of the, what, top 3 or so DPS in the game for a long time? But it’s not good enough. BUFF HIM!
I’d rather nerf Widow so that double sniper can dissolve for a bit. At what he does, he’s good. But against one-shots and burst damage like Widow/Hanzo, it does make Genji’s life harder than it should be, as well as every other DPS hero barring McCree.
He is good. He’s doing better than most DPS. But Widow/Hanzo will continue outshining him, as well as every other DPS.
So the conclusion that I see, based on all comments, is that Genji appears to be, currently, a nich hero.
In the case of the forum activity i have seen these few years, that is true irony.
