As a hitscan player i am sorry his burst was the big problem. Dashing into or behind someone and having them die before they can even aim down sights is beyond absurd.
He will still be good, really good, the changes were needed and are good for everyone else.
I have to admit one thing I had not realized about the character was that the shuriken spread reduction made hitting with 2-3 shurikens at once way easier at more range. It makes farming tanks pretty easy. Hitting double shuriken headshot was way more common. I just wish he kept the 28 -> 30 buff because his primary fire at this point might as well be his secondary fire.
Every ability stun that helped to keep mobility in check got a widespread nerf recently. Let’s not forget that mobility has received a de facto buff.
Genji has never been bad, like ever. Genji is mid-tier, and that’s amazing considering how many Dps there are. Adapt
Did i say he was bad? You know… his firerate buff is what made him a “middle of the pack” hero right? cause before it he was literally trash. Firerate and ammo buff are the ones who pushed him into being an ok pick while these 3 of the 4 buffs were completly unecessary.
If you think that, then i’m sorry. You could literally click on my profile and see my suggestions for his balance. They’re nerfing him in a completly wrong way, but non Genji players/people that hate him would never give a damn about it as long as it gets him out of their games. I’d love for the devs to add the same .75 for your hero too whoever it is you play and see how good it would feel for you.

And i already repplied that i’ll adapt, but i’m legit trying to avoid another Mei situation. I don’t care what hero you hate, what mains you hate. If you get buffs you never asked for only for your hero to be gutted in a stupid way after no matter who the players are they have the right to complain. I don’t go around making fun of people for getting their heroes gutted, cause the same could happen to me which is rn.
Genji has always been way better than Mei, and he still is

No, he wasn’t and if you think so then i’m sorry. Mei made it impossible to play Genji during and after double shield which she remained strong because of all the buffs she got. He is way better than her now, but only cause she was beyond gutted.
so pre buff Genji already wasn’t that? why not revert all the buffs straight away then?
Its not going to kill him, but he’ll be much worse than pre buff damage wise.
Genji was literally top DPS. Like 3rd or 4th DPS. How is that bad? Mei never had that pickrate. Genji isn’t better cause Mei is bad, he’s better cause he’s broken

Genji mains pushed the buffs, these are the consequences. Adapt to them. You made your bed, you lie on it now
i pushed the buffs? you don’t even know me pal. I was saying in many discussions those buffs would make him op and gut him and that not all of them should go through. Not every person is the same, you guys complain about Genji players, but you’re the ones who always treat us like we are all the same. I’m a support and tank player also and have favorite heroes across all roles, there is absolutely no way i’d just wish for buffs that would break one of my heroes go through just so they can get overnerfed after.

They reverted his damage only out of the 4 recent buffs.
His fire rate buff was something thst was implemented a while ago.
So it’s 1 revert added with a 1 huge nerf.
But don’t worry those who are good with Genji will always be good.
