What is your point then? Because if you’re solution to any kind of addiction is “just quit” then you don’t know what addiction is.
That’s literally it, yes. Just quit. How do people stop gambling? By not gambling. How do people quit video games? By not playing video games. 
There is zero negative effect on your health or well-being by quitting, so just stop doing it. That’s how I quit smoking after like 10 years, I just stopped doing it.
There are exceptions for people with legitimate issues like PTSD (using games as an escape from trauma, for example), but that’s largely not the case for people addicted to video games. Besides, the main problem with addicts is that they don’t/won’t realize they’re addicts. In this case, they did. So just quit, the main hurdle has been overcome already.
I know you don’t agree with this opinion, but I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to change my mind anyway. I can already smell the generic rebuttals bubbling. Better come up with a quick insult like “you don’t know what you’re talking about” (or nothing at all), it’ll be more productive 
The game is literally a 4/10, its bland, with a terrible matchmaker.

I want to play Overwatch, but then when I do play I wonder why.
Lately there’s been so many times I’ve sat in the game menu looking at the screen and just don’t have any will to actually play, even though I wish I did, and then I just log out and play something else or watch a movie.
Overwatch has simply lost it’s magic and fun since adding a ‘2’ at the end of their name.

If I’m not having fun with a game you know what I would do?
Step 1: Uninstall the game
Step 2: Leave the forums
Step 3: Find something else to play
Firstly, I hope you’re okay and I want you to know that this game can be incredibly unfun and it creates a lot of mixed feelings. Just want to make sure you’re okay though 
Anyways, take breaks! What I like to do is switch to a game thats more casual or just QP. After 2 loses that were greatly frustrating. I realized its not always you as a person but the way the match ranked you. But you should always express that in forums because the devs NEED to know.

Why play more than you enjoy? I promise you this game will never have any sort of new peaks from here on out.
I mean how long have they been making unfulfilled promises while somehow making players less happy each time, overall?
When is the last time this game received ANY positive attention for anything? OW2 beta? There aren’t enough police cars in the world you can remove to redeem the good will lost.
OW2 is like a counterfeit version of OW1 with a regressed monetization.
I think 5v5 is fine but I personally just prefer 6v6 more when playing tank. I would like a 6v6 keeping most if not all the OW2 Orisa rework abilities.
Just giving us players an option to play between 5v5 and 6v6 in the game would be great like how Fortnite has Solos, duos, trios and squads.

Not having fun still play the game. I just play few matches and ask myself why i even play the game. I even uninstalled the game two times and i end up reinstalling. The first time i uninstalled & reinstalled is because i was excited for PvE. Only for them to cancel hero mission & talent system which i was excited.
The second time was when i was big update coming on August.
I do love the heroes & map. Especially the art, animation & music. So i still keep playing because of those. Even if the gameplay sucks.
