I dont 5 stack, so I honestly have no idea if what you are saying is true - but - that doesnt mean matchmaking doesnt exist

your hypothetical 5 stack has to be matched against another team, for one

all the solo queuers have to be grouped up and matched against each other as well

so yes, matchmaking exists

If you want to get into semantics. Sure matchmaking exists.

It is however so loose and is so easy to circumvent that it might as well not exist.

This is false. This doesn’t even happen in comp. I played 2 matches in a row as 5 solo’s vs a 3 stack on the enemy team just yesterday. (I have a habit of checking who is in a group, especially when people start playing the blame game)

the matchmaker does indeed select 2 groups of players, and these can all be solo queuers

Solo’s don’t only get queued against solo’s and grouped players don’t only play against grouped players.
