Razer viper Mini Ultimate Signature edition 4K wireless polling+ Razer Atlas Glass mousepad right now…
I was grandmaster previously while using the mouse
Its clunky and with 121g fairly heavy. Doesn’t look like a good fps mouse to me. But looks comfortable and useful with all the side buttons for other games.
Get this dude’s mouse without glass pad if you want to grind mechanical. Doesn’t have to be the mini. The other vipers are very light too. (half the weight of the G502)
Can confirm that g502 feet are terrible. They fall off, get dust inbetween the area they sit and the feet themself and wear pretty easy.
Replacing them is also a pita because Logitech greatly overprices the replacements, and most of the 3rd party ones are cut too small or too thin (so the edges where the feet sit go past them).
The mouse is also rather heavy, even with all the weights removed.
Edit: Nvm didn’t see you used to use it, so I assume you’d know all this lol
Actually not anymore, Logitech Lightspeed technology for there new wireless mice is much faster than wired, I bought the G-PRO because of this. LinusTechTips did a really nice indepth video on this subject
by how much faster? either way, 5 gigahertz wireless isn’t safe to use/hold.
Just use whatever mouse you feel comfortable with. Having better gear doesn’t always make you a better player.
It was quite a bit faster, they did a really indepth experiments with slow mow cameras for the timings and fair enough in real time the differences weren’t massive, but when slowed down, it was quite a large time difference for response time. and for the rate of failure for the mouse I have had, I have never noticed it cutting out or not inputing my movements ever. I’d only say my only issue with having wireless so far is forgetting to charge it, the battery life is pretty long with the LED’d switched off, I am talking like 5-6 days at a time without charging, but thats my fault.
i would avoid razer after some of the recent controversy involving them
I haven’t heard - what was the controversy?
Nobody needs an expensive mouse, you just need one that is comfortable in your hands, with good button placements. If that turns out to be a 15 buck mouse, more power to you.
There are people in MOBAs who got the highest rank with TRACKPADS of all things, these people are anomolies, but your overall point stands, gear won’t improve you but might enable you to improve.
Also Tyler1 got Challenger on all roles in League of Legends and he literally used a logitech m100 until recently.
I have a G502 and I love it. Unfortunately I am gold, so tough luck, you can’t buy one if you want to climb higher.
its related how it can in some versions of windows can be used to allow command prompt while at a lock screen im not sure how that worked though
to answer the question many ignored, yes…BeBe from the Shanghai Dragons uses it…the HERO model specifically, there are probably more but that was just a quick glance. check out this website as it’s a good resource to see pro and streamer gear across many games. i linked overwatch 2 but i think there might be overwatch 1 where you’ll see way more entries.
never mind i can’t link it, just look up prosettings overwatch and you’ll see the lists.
also don’t listen to people that say wireless isn’t good, they’re full of it and I’ve been constantly correcting people on this for years. if pros use wireless on the main stage where there’s thousands of dollars on the line then it’s more than enough for some random guy’s platinum peak widowmaker/tracer.
overall play on whatever you want man, it’s not gonna make or break your gameplay, there are people that hit GM on 200 ping, 60hz & 60fps, walmart keyboards, etc.
Yep, this thread made me so confused. Not using a mouse below 63 grams is bad? Like jeez wtf is this, is this the mindset of “best gear = I’ll be gm” ?
Im still using same g502 wired I have used for years, hadnt stopped me from climbing.
