You know you can’t see higher refresh rates right?
So 30hz should be peak. Definitely won’t notice it right? I can’t notice immediately when something is running at 60hz vs 240hz, nope.
It’s crazy to me that people like yourself still exist in gaming dude. Is someone who is a peak silver player going to speedrun up to gm by tweaking their system for consistent frametimes and lowest latency? Nah, but it will absolutely improve the responsiveness of the game for them.
i use to do this but then im like nah… i rather look at the pretty graphics so i have all quality heh
still i got a 4090 so im still able to max to like 400 frames even at ultra high quality but i dont. i just refresh to my monitor which is 144 hz
mine is 174 im sure there are pros at 150 ms and less, though i agree that i dont see much gain after 144 fps. Its probably me not noticing though.
also i do mod cyberpunk 2077 but for the life of me i cant make it look like this… close but man not this good. probably need a better monitor heh
From OP thinking that game settings affect your aim SO HARD to the classic FPS debate from people saying “can’t see past 60fps” , what a wreck.
Yeah people, just like in ANY other game … configure it correctly and train your aim with the appropriate/translated sensitivity and that should do.

There is some strange phenomenon where my brain artificially replaces the picture with some ultra HD that only my imagination could rouse. Back in the day, Final Fantasy X was so realistic to me. I remember seeing their pores, for heaven’s sake! I still see it vividly in my mind. One of the most beautiful games of all time. And then you Google the images and they look like ogres. What’s up with that?

well i guess there isnt 8k monitors yet but 4k then you just upscale it. still yea 4k monitors are pretty expensive especially getting one with high frames
I mean… i didn’t see the difference between hd and non hd until i visited the optician for other reasons and found out i needed glasses.
I can’t imagine being bereft of both super human reflexes AND eagle eyed vision. Seems too cruel

The other side of the coin is if anything runs lower than 120hz it makes my skin crawl. It’s ruining my enjoyment of anything on the steam deck. 
Didn’t an earlier test of that burn the brain tissue? Even if there was only a 0.00 something chanse of that, it would feel too risky for me.
I think X still holds up incredibly well tbh, especially when you’re actually playing and immersed in it.
Square Enix’s style of realism in general ages far better than most. They keep heavy on the fantastic and with enough cartoony aspects to character design so as not to stray into the uncanny valley.
