Frequent disconnections, specifically in competitive mode

In a competitive Overwatch match, I, as support, and the other support were disconnected at the same time. With several failed reconnections, requiring two restarts, the enemy team, who were losing, won the match. Even after we both returned, they had no chance of victory, and at the end of the match, I received an 8-hour suspension for an involuntary disconnection.

I demand that action be taken, as this is the second time this has happened to me. I suspect it’s some kind of hack that disconnects players, as this happens very frequently, specifically in competitive mode and in key roles; it’s always the support or tank who gets disconnected.

I also want my suspension lifted, as it’s unfair that I receive such a large penalty for something that isn’t even my fault. With such a large penalty, I won’t be able to finish the Impetus campaign currently.

I forgot to mention that.

This has happened to me numerous times, almost always once a week. It’s gotten out of hand, as I feel atp I’m going to get banned for simply just trying to play the game and getting disconnected for no reason??? It makes it so annoying to grind because I get stuck waiting 25 mins for thr suspension. They need to fix this ASAP.

This has been an ongoing issue for me as well, either random lag spikes/rubber banding, or getting straight up disconnected from the client mid match. I tried turning off all voice chats the behest of some prior threads that I saw on these forums and it seems to have minimized the issue. But after a few days of no incidents I just got kicked from the client mid comp match.

In that same match both of my DPS players got disconnected first round before coming back, then I was disconnected second round, by the time I got back into the client we had already lost.

The persistent disconnection issue makes comp genuinely unplayable because literally every single match is a gamble.

I’ve seen some folks on here suggest running a VPN while playing OW, but it really shouldn’t be on players to have jump through all these hoops to get a stable game experience. Other multiplayer games that I play run just fine as is.

I was in a match in Overwatch today around 1PM CST, and the server disconnected, dumping me back to the login screen.

No other application or service on my computer with disrupted, nor was any other device in my house. Just Overwatch.

When I tried to log in, I saw that 30 people were in the queue. Once I finally did get logged back in I saw that I had a pretty hefty comp suspension.

I believe because of the queue of 30 people trying to login again, that this was an issue with the servers, not my game client, desktop PC, network, or my ISP.

How does Blizzard justify that this is fair treatment of its client base? Furthermore, this may count towards a permanent strike on my account considering the recent updates to the policy with the launch of Season 4. The policy also states that subsequent bans across multiple seasons will lead to my account being permabanned, with no avenue available for it to be undone.

How I am interpreting this is, Blizzard is not willing to admit that, at any time, that its hardware, network, or infrastructure could in any way possibly be at fault, and that eventually when these errors stack against me, they will permaban my account blocking me out of content that I have paid for.

Thanks.

this happened to me again , and now im suspended for 57 mins. ..its out of hand.
it keeps HAPPENING, i sign in play a qp to check im fine, go into comp and not fine, then i lost connection to game server and it fails everytime it retrys.

I get penalized.
