Exactly this. Most ow2 heroes start from life weaver give me this feeling that they are designed in a short period of time. The devs don’t really know how to make them stand out but also want to make them fit into 5v5. In other words those heroes have a little bit of everything to deal with all situations.
The result is that all those heroes feel quite generic, most of them have one mobility, one burst damage/healing, and AoE healing/damage ult. It is also apparent that generic design isn’t very appealing for the player base, as all new ow2 heroes since 2023 have some of the lowest pick rate (except juno), despite their versatility and decent win rate.
