My friends have been able to get free competitive points. My friend didn’t start playing comp until a month before Overwatch ended. He ended up with about 2400. When he opened OW 2 he obtained enough comp points to buy 6-7 gold weapons. Where’s mine?

same. my bf who had barely played the first game and had no gold weapons, got into ow2 and had 18k free comp points and was able to purchase 6 gold weapons. This needs to be fixed because people including me have spent years grinding to get the gold weapons they have. that will be incredibly sad if they don’t fix that.

Absolutely all of my friends got extra points except me :). One got 40000 points very fair if yo ask not like that is worth 400+ gameplay hours. Not salty at all :). Either take those points from everyone or give everyone those points fairness is important but considering that’s not we’re their money is at now I guess it was just a matter of luck.

Ugh same, friends have had all theirs doubled yet I’ve got nothing.
They need to either revert the points if it was a glitch or give them to the rest of us if it wasn’t.

I’m quite annoyed about this. I have 1000 hours in the game, mostly comp and I have 15 golden guns. Before the realise of overwatch 2 I saved 3000 comp points for overwatxh 2 to specificlly buy the new supports golden weapon so I get on and I have my 3000 comp points still. All good until my partner who is literally only level 40 loads on overwwtch 2 and has 6000 comp points but I thought fair enough 2 gold guns isn’t bad to start him off but then I speak to my brother who only has 500 hours but he has 32000 comp points!!! So now despite me playing almost double hours on comp as him he now has more gold guns. I guess it doesn’t matter but it’s still nice to have something to show that you’re a dedicated player lol

I’m honestly pissed about this. Everyone I know got 10 times the amount of comp points that they had in OW1 but I didn’t get anything. I had 1635 comp points in OW1 so in theory I should have 16,350 after getting on OW2. Blizzard owes me that much if everyone else got it.
What’s Blizzard gonna do, take everyone’s comp points away if it was a bug? Imagine people buying a ton of gold guns just for them to be taken away. The community would be nuclear.

yeah my account got literally none and everyone else in my group of 5 got loads of comp points
Might be a bug that is exaggerated because of rank, so a GM would be getting 650 points for each role multiplied by the bug
no one of my friends were bronze in each role and one was gm and they still got similar amounts of points and i got nothin
