FPS cap out at 59

I’ve been playing off and on all day then all of a sudden my fps dropped to 59 and seem to hover there. No my fps isnt set to 59.
I did reset my video settings but that didnt change a thing. Anyoen else having this issue?

Same, even after running through my options to optimize the game. This is insane - I had steady FPS of 120-140 previously and now in spawn in Quick Play it’s holding steady 30-40 FPS, dropping to 10-20 during fights. My SIM value (input lag) has skyrocketed from a steady 10-12 all the way to 60-70. Is it really that system-intensive to add player silhouettes? Why didn’t Widowmaker’s ultimate break the game previously?

Hey guys, looks like we’re not the only ones with the FPS issues. Have found over 20 threads reporting similar problems with the latest patch despite spending ~5hrs working with blizz yesterday. Let’s bump all this stuff into a larger thread to ensure they try to work out a fix -

Fps problem lower settings/resolution same fps

i need some help with overwatch the fps is lower than it should be after the game has been running for a little while and resolution or option lowering does NOT AT ALL change fps also its not overheating cpu/gpu the temp stays the same and is only 5C higher than when idle so what do i do to fix it
