tired of stacks or asocial gamers refusing to join team voice chat in comp, no one is requiring them to make calls but at the very least they could listen to those willing to communicate for the good of the team
It makes sense since Voice is available. But requiring that is wrong; be it useful or not.
Some people are anti-social or introverts and prefer not to be a part of it and that is fair to those who do not wish to participate. Fortunately, the game has a ping system available that everyone can see when used.
introverts dont have to actually talk but being able to listen to their team is miles better than the useless ping system that everyone ignores, and maybe if one is so anti-social or introverted they should just play quickplay instead of competitive in a team based game where communication is almost more important than any single playerâs individual skill
I turned VC off when I got vile hate for playing support. Now idiots canât treat me like crap. I donât put up with that. Use the ping system. Trash talking just distracts the team and lowers morale.
The anti-social people are in VC blaming everyone for their own mistakes. People donât want to deal with them.
i also think if you have a deaf person in your lobby, you should be forced to type to them during the game so that other people donât have an advantage over them.
I also think we should have some sort of blizzard control on your computer so that it can shut off any background music you might be playing and the game automatically shuts down your extra monitors so you arenât distracted.
Yeah sure, Iâd love to hear all the toxic manchildren screeching about how good they are and how bad everyone else is. This game already sucks, at least let me play in peace.
This is why a lot of people (including myself) wonât go into voice. Too much toxicity over a video game, and i am not interested in it.
The most toxic people in OW are the ones that complain about people not being in team chat.
Iâd rather chill and listen to music while playing than listen to some sweaty gamer screaming thinking theyâre better than everyone just because they talk on mic
Iâm always in voice chat, donât always say anything because there is a lot going on in the background, but I am in there listening.
Lmao itâs not about being âasocialâ or introverts not wanting to talk.
Itâs about regular, well-adjusted people not wanting to even listen to the particular type of human scum that video games attract.
Everyone who plays with VC disabled has had more than enough of the whiny, nasally virgin nerd voice that has that fills the comms in these games. Weâre tired of hearing some impotent scrawny loser start out the match âfineâ then rage and yell when the match doesnât go their way.
No.
No thank you. I dont have time to listen to crying kids all game.
Middle Mouse button or the G key is default for pings. Pings are more than sufficient and if thatâs not enough, then voice comms aint gonna do it.
No. Unless you want to kill the remaining players in competitive. No game is worth having to deal with toxicity.
I donât use voice in ranked cause Iâm tired of 13 year olds screaming at each other. I aggressively use pings now and I would rather Blizzard just remove voice chat from comp in general.
Believe it or not using voice chat or not can make a difference in the game. Iâve been in games where everyone is on the mic, and games where no one was on mic. Guess which games were won?
Pfff I even turn off chat system completely. Best experience to have in game.
There is a bug where many players cant see who is talking.
Besides its mostly full of cretins burping, screaming, playing music or cursing their teamates.
I turned it off, its much better. Am just using the ping system.
I turn it off and hide all text chat in QP
I leave it on for comp though
Iâd be in favor of an opt-in by default with the option of leaving VC every game, as there are times that I forget to join in until later in the game, but with this game having a ping system I find that having players not in VC to be much less of an issue than it was in OW1 where your chances of winning largely depended on your team being in VC and coordinating, especially if the other team was not in VC.
