For you who Throw and sabotage

What do you get out from that?

Now you have chans to tell all what are the point?

Why do you think people annoy or bully others? It’s that rush of making someone else miserable.

That control factor. It’s awful but it’s the daemon inside that gets a giggle out of hampering another.

Schadenfreude.

I want to hear it from those who doing it. But I guess they are to scared.

Getting abused in team chat lead me to the only time I’ve come close to throwing. guy constantly calling me names because I was healing the entire team instead of solely pocketing him so I my game started lagging every time he was low hp

Come on, we’ve all done it before. Even just once. Mei Ice Walling the doors in spawn.

You know the feeling. For those who truly embrace being a complete git, they just do that non-stop. The only difference is they’re desparate to fill the whole in their sad lives!

Basically this.

Maybe not this game, but in others absolutely. Griefing does have its own level of enjoyment by taking enjoyment away from others.

Not saying it’s right or justifying it, but you’re absolutely correct. We’ve all done it in some fashion, no one is innocent.

No one is perfect. All that matters is that you repent for your actions. Be sorry for what you did, not just cos you got caught or faux-remorse cos time has past so you won’t be reprimanded for it.

I was a bully once. Can still be an git from time to time too. It’s human nature, but as long as we don’t make it our personal status quo then it’s forgivable.

Speak for yourself. No not everyone takes joy in taking enjoyment away from others.

you just now did it right now by replying to this thread solely to tell everyone what a good person you think you are and shoot those guys down even though they were being honest and answering the original post.

Calling someone out on excusing bad behavior is not griefing.

the thread has been derailed, its been derailed because of your ego, its primary purpose is no longer being served and perhaps wont be served now that anyone who might have answered the op’s prompt knows they’re going to have to listen to you complain about how much better of a person you think you are than them. the thread has been griefed, and you griefed it.

It would be like asking cheaters why they do what they do.

They aren’t going to be stand up person to come here and give you a straight answer.

The closest explanation I can give you is how Alfred explained the Joker to Bruce Wayne I. The Dark Knight:

“some men just want to watch the world burn”

I’ve never thrown, but I can understand why people can feel enjoyment from trolling. They see it more as mischief. I remember in OW1, I was playing Mei against Roadhog, and rather than headshotting him for a faster kill, I felt like just freezing him over and over again. Eventually he rage quit. It was juvenile on my part, but I thought it was funny at the time.

that is funny and arguably more of an effective strategy since rather than resetting him to somewhere far away and giving him a chance to renter the fight fresh you lock his positioning down for extended periods of time and create more instances of time where he isnt playing the game and its a 5v6

Depends on what you mean throw. If i don’t switch from Ball even though my supports are dying is it throwing?

It’s the obvious throws. Like today, I had a Tank on the enemy team running to my team, and then standing there doing nothing while we killed him. Our team gets free Ult Charge, his team is down a tank, and they, obviously, lost the match.

We all know what a throw looks like vs someone just not being very good.

oh the humanity. sure thing Joe.

also, of all the replies here you seem like the person who is the most likely to actually grief maliciously out of spite rather than a sense of fun

Won’t throw but will significantly try less if it’s pretty clear my team is outclassed.

No point tbh

sounds like throwing to me.

thats confirmation bias either way
you get discouraged
you throw
you lose
“knew my team wouldnt be able to pull through”
