Fair enough, but it would still be a boop, a knock up, and the pull on his slam. The hero would still be a ton of cc. Which they wanted to reduce.

Yerp, the first was to much of an easy tool to isolate a single player. And scaling on tank doom would basically just be nerf at this point as they really don’t want such a tool doing more damage then it already is.

the slam in the replay code I shared doesn’t have pull on it and it works just fine, they could remove that as well.

He just needs to be slightly less telegraphed I think reducing movement speed penalty in block would be plenty and put slam to 6.5 seconds and he’d feel very fluid tbh

Doom is basically a character that required fast CDs to feel fluid if his CDs are even slightly too long he feels horrible

7 second slam with no slow is definetly weak in comparison to the rest of the tank roster

easy tool to isolate players yet he was the only hero with his death rate to be in the double digits lmao.
and you can nerf his primary fire damage and ability damage going into ow2 to help players survive it.

would be cool to see how dps doom would have worked in ow2 if they properly bothered to balance him.

Remove one shot punch, lower max slam damage and maybe nerf primary fire damage to what it is on tankfist and go from there! I really think it could work.

It’s primarily hard cc that’s being removed. dps kept their boop abilities.

real talk, he could keep slam and uppercut how they were in ow1.

That’s because of tools like flash bang, and having a designated tank that can always be ready to peel. Both of those things are no longer in the game.

The difference is that CC is a lot more prevalent in DPS Doom’s kit. It’s not comparable to Junk’s mines or Ashe’s coach.

That’s still three displacement abilities on pretty low cooldowns in his kit

I would like Blizz to nerf his punch, give him back the uppercut and give him a new passive:

Evolution through conflict: After dealing
300 points of damage or killing an enemy: Resets rocket punch CD. Your Next Rocket Punch deals 100% more damage and takes half the time to fully charge.

I just like the empower mechanic, its the only good thing that came with his rework.

I think it’s gonna be ironic to have a One Punch Man outfit, on a hero that needs multiple punches to kill.

Ehh I’d say if they removed the stun on punch it would be comparable to junkrat. Both would have 3 cc abilities.

It’s not just about the number, it’s about the prevalence.

Doom is almost entirely CC. Even without the stun on punch that’s still 3 displacement abilities.

Junk is mainly damage, the occasional displacement with his mines and a pretty uncommon root with the trap.

That’s true, so what about comparing him to someone like mei? Even now, her main way of dealing damage applies cc and, while annoying, she isn’t particularly problematic.
