Yeah, you can spam 1 hit kill luck shots with any hero.
If you were used to them before, that’s probably why. I had to onetrick him for like two weeks straight to completely delete my old habits.
I think that what we’re going to see is that every DPS character who can’t be zero-skill, zero-aim deleted by another pick is going to be whined about until they are nerfed.
The amount of people who think Winston should jump on Hanzo and kill him 100% of the time is pretty crazy. What’s funny is that if Hanzo’s team doesn’t help him, you actually will kill him 100% of the time as Winston if you’re not a complete trash can.
never really cared much for the “blizzard caters to the whiners” meme
never cared much for hypothetical hero matchups to make points on the forums
and on the off chance that you read me wrong, I don’t want free counters, and don’t care much for countering in the first place
Wait, what are you talking about? Last time I checked, Winston doesn’t even need to try to get close to Hanzo or dive him to be free food. Hanzo melts him and his shield very quickly from any distance.
Well, you can with Zenyatta at least.
I’m talking about this game called “Overwatch” that you have no idea how to play.
Winston + his barrier is 1100 HP worth of damage. 600 of it is the barrier, which cannot be headshot. Let’s assume you shot Winston once in the air (headshot, obviously because Hanzo can only headshot - it’s in the code), and you have a full shot ready for the bubble on landing.
So we have a barrier with 475 health and a Winston with 255 health.
Storm Arrow (pre nerf) does 420 damage to the barrier. It takes 1.8 seconds to shoot all storm arrows. So we charge an arrow for 0.2 seconds to do exactly 55 damage to the barrier, then we incur a 0.4 sec delay before we can shoot again (that’s how the bow works). 2.4 seconds have passed, and the barrier is broken.
If Winston has been holding M1, Hanzo is currently at 56 HP assuming Winston did 0 leap damage. I assume Winston did 0 leap damage because Hanzo is actually immune to leap damage (it’s in the code because of Blizzard’s favoritism for Hanzo).
Now Hanzo does a fully charged headshot on Winston for 250 damage. Taking 0.7 seconds to charge and 0.6 second to recover for a total of 1.3 seconds. Winston now has 5 HP, but Hanzo is dead before he can shoot again because it only takes 0.9 seconds for Winston to do the remaining 56 HP that Hanzo has.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: what about lunge? Well, lunge moves Hanzo 7.75 meters away from Winston, but Winston’s Tesla cannon has a range of 8 meters. So as long as Winston isn’t a potato the lunge won’t even buy Hanzo a millisecond of extra time to live. Oh wait, I had to write all of this because you’re a potato.
The standard seems to be to jump INTO the shield and annihilate his health before he can try to reach the edge and start dancing
You can nerf Hanzo all you want until he’s legitimately the worst hero in the game but the majority of DPS are still going to be bad with all the barriers in the game and DM existing.
Right, so I’m just making things up. Me and all the other players who play tanks - we are just making stuff up. Hanzo is not quick to melt tanks at all compared to other DPS. Hanzo is not unfairly equipped to destroy shields as if they’re made of paper.
Spare me the commentary. I’m not even reading your full post. You are coming up with an ideal, imaginary, 1v1 situation that does not describe what really happen during matches.
As Winston (or any tank really), I shouldn’t have to be worried about Hanzo all the time or wasting all of my resources/cooldowns on this single character. But in practice, this is what happens, because Hanzo’s kit is so powerful at dealing with tanks that if I focus on anything else, he will simply destroy me.
But lol right. Winston has the upper hand against Hanzo. Winston who has like both a WR and pick rate lower than Hanzo’s across all ranks.
Spare me this BS.
Well, they did nerf him, just wait couple days lol
This is a fantastic point. It takes Winston 0.91 seconds to move outside of his barrier. Which means that after Hanzo instantly teleports inside the bubble with lunge, he can land 3 Storm arrow hits on Winston before Winston can’t be hit anymore. This is 210 damage in body shots, but this is actually 420 damage because of the “Hanzo can only headshot” code which is in the code because of Blizzard favoritism. I think Blizzard should make it so that Hanzo can bodyshot as well as headshot and then maybe Hanzo will be balanced.
I mean, Hanzo does plenty of DPS, but he’s not owning Winston on his own. Hanzo is also one of the most easily dived DPS in the game.
I bet you’re not reading it. You’re in denial. The situation was IDEAL FOR HANZO. I gave Hanzo 100% headshot rate, immunity to leap damage, and he still loses to Winston.
LMAO. Yeah, why should you have to worry about the players on the enemy team. Holy bronze SR, Batman.
- They literally just nerfed it.
- Hanzo is fine.
every time I see a hanzo activate storm arrow I know I only have slim chance of making it out or killing him.
Usually I go: thank god he has a sniper smg.
or atleast fix this strafing hitbox-bug, that makes him incredibly strong.
all i was thinking was why did this trashcan hanzo not just melee
then again, if he failed so badly at the shield dance that he had to completely break the bubble before hitting winston once, i guess it’s to be expected that he’s the typa hanzo to not use melee
all im trying to say here is that i just thought it was funny that you went out of your way to make everything perfect for hanzo but you decided to also make him a bronzo
Why are you trying to convince a Hanzo main?
Did you also notice that Hanzo took 0 damage from leap and 100% headshot accuracy even on a jumping Winston? Do you honestly think that Hanzo is going to win a fight 1v1 against Winston by shield dancing? Do you not realize that Winston is at a massive advantage in this situation?
If you don’t have team support, jumping into Winston’s bubble is suicide. If you do have team support, why exactly should Winston be able to kill you?
What an utterly pathetic nitpick.
Have you ever tried to land firestrike on someone that’s hip-hopping around and lunging all the damn time, and in close range no less? Firestrike is not a great ability to begin with. I mean it’s like, ok, but it’s hardly what I’d call reliable, it’s pretty easy to dodge if you’re paying attention.
