Flamethrower Hero Idea

I wanted to make a Damage / DPS Flamethrower Hero of sorts so i gave it a shot and heres my idea for em anyways.

Thrax - Damage Role

Stats: 300 HP

Bio: Thrax is a Talon Mercenary, hired to incinerate any threat to Talon and act as one of it’s Finest Yet Simplest Of Solutions to keep Overwatch at Bay. With Fire. Lots of Fire. He is loyal to the last and will even Self Destruct just to finish the job in a Fiery Final Explosion just to complete the Goals of Talon or at least destroy any possible threats.

Weapon - The Scorcher

Sets enemies ablaze with Fire! Lots of Fire.

Stats: Very Short Ranged Flamethrower, Extreme Attack Speed, Deals 8 Damage every 0.4 Seconds and Burns Enemies for an Additional 8 Damage for 5 Seconds. Holds 250 Ammo. Takes 3.5 Seconds to Reload.

‘’ The Scorcher can do 40 Damage in 2 Seconds if you consistently Hit an Enemy and an Additional 8 Burn Damage Over Time ‘’

Passive - Overheat

Every Time an Enemy Or Thrax Is Set On Fire Will Cause Thrax to Generate a Stack of Overheat. Each Stack of Overheat Becomes 1 Extra Burn Damage. To Enemies Or Himself.

Stacks will Decay after 10 Seconds.

Thrax can also be hit with Half Collateral Damage from His Fireball And Takes Half Burn Damage From All Sources. Including From His Own Skills.

Thrax’s Melee Attack Deals 20 Damage and Set Enemies on Fire for 8 Damage For 5 Seconds.

Skill 1 - Fireball

Shoot an Exploding Fireball at Enemies. The Fireball does 60 Damage if hit Directly with the Fireball and has Slight Knockback. The Fireball will explode for an Additional 20 Damage in a Medioum Sized Area on Impact with Anything Or Surface and Burns anyone hit with the Fireball Or Fireball Explosion for 8 Damage for 5 Seconds. Cooldown Of 16 Seconds.

‘’ Is His way of Hitting Enemies over Longer Distances and Setting Lots of People on Fire at the same time! ‘’

Skill 2 - Meltdown

Thrax Engulfs Himself In Fire for 6 Damage For 8 Seconds and creates a Fiery AOE Damage Ring around himself and moves 20% Faster for the Duration. Anyone within the Ring is Burned for 8 Damage every Second they are within Range and an Additional 8 Burn Damage for 5 Seconds. Cooldown of 12 Seconds.

‘’ Thanks to Thrax’s Passive. Meltdown Damage is Halved to 3 Damage as it is treated as Burn Damage But it can still damage you and is best used to Engage and Get Close to Enemies to Burn then with The Scorcher. Not a good idea to run away and turn yourself into a walking fireball at the same time. Literally. ‘’

Ultimate - Blaze Of Glory

Thrax Overloads his Power Cell used to power his cybernetics, causing it to go critical. Thrax will move 30% Slower for 5 Seconds and Cannot Use SKills. For Each Second, Thrax adds 50 Damage to the Explosion and then after the Timer Runs Out or if Triggered Early, Thrax will Self Destruct. Killing Himself Instantly and the Resulting Explosion will Deal Slight Knockback and 10 Burn Damage to All Nearby Enemies for 6 Seconds. Press your Ultimate Button to Detonate Early.

‘’ Best used as a Final Solution to keeping enemies back and turn Thrax into a walking bomb, All in the name of Talon to get the job done, no matter what! ‘’

Final Notes…

He can Only Inflict Damage from One Burn At A Time and Multiple Do Not Stack. If an Enemy is already Burning, The Duration will Automatically be reset every time they are Burned.

IE: An Enemy Burning then Hit with Fireball as an example Resets the Duration of their Burn Damage to Another 5 Seconds. Keeping them Burning for Longer if They Are Frequently Set On Fire.

No Armour Or Shields Either. I like his above average HP making him more tanky but not as durable as say a Bastion in Comparison. If he was more tanky it would be OK but more-so difficult to balance him out as his Overheat is where he can shine. Burning for much more Damage and rewarding him for doing so instead of making a sorta typical big ol tanky flamethrower guy that soaks up tons of damage and stuff.

His design was inspired to work best with Lucio and Mercy for the Mobility of Lucio to help him get in Close and Mercy because of her good Healing Output and Mobility to Chase After Him if Needed!

Counter idea.

A mysterious person in a fierman uniform. Their name know longer known as they have long only been referred to by what they are. A pyro.

To themself all they see is a mystical world of unicorns and rainbows, but in reality the world burns to a crisp around them. No one can understand a word they say as they speak in a muffled voice.

Mei was designed to be the pyro knockoff, with enough differences to mitigate criticism that Overwatch is basically a ripoff of TF2. When Overwatch launched, it was basically the “Can I copy your homework” meme. It still kinda is, however the gameplay has evolved enough to feel different.
