No, every cross play match I played felt terrible, and lost every match due to unfair teams with cross play. But once I opted out the wins started coming in again because no team had an advantage over the other.

If crossplay was only for xbox and ps4 it wouldn’t be bad, but as it is it is garbage.
pretty sure that’s just confirmation bias. try it out for 2 weeks and see.
Lol no, I will not punish myself by forcing myself to play crossplay for 2 weeks. I played multiple matches today. Every single crossplay match was garbage quality but short wait times. The matches where I opted out were great though asides from waiting 30-40 minutes to get a fair match.
Also if it wernt for this trash update I wouldn’t even be here talking to you. I’m typically a forum lurker. But because Blizzard forced me to make a Battle.net I’m here talking with you. This update has been all bad things, no good things.
Because the default option is to opt in 
look there’s probably some shaking up that will happen in the rankings of a lot of players as they run into others on other platforms who were in smaller pools and therefore were able to jump up in ranks perhaps. maybe you’re mad now, but try again in two weeks and some of those rankings will have settled down. i urge you not to simply cut off a massive influx of new players just because of a single day of playtime.
sometimes you also could just be having a bad day. i’ve had days on pc of losing 150 sr, only to swing back up the next day, this isn’t just a crossplay thing is my opinion. give it a try at some point when you’re less mad. also, i’m glad that they made you get an account or I wouldn’t be here to try to help you out 
also, this means you probably didn’t get a fair match really, as the pool of non-crossplay players must be tiny in comparison with the gargantuan crossplay pool and it kept expanding its search to wider and wider SR gaps before it finally found a match.
sure, maybe there will be a bit of sr turbulence for some players as they come into a less skewed measure of skill level in the larger pool, but i think overall it will shake out better than before.

Matches regardless of platform as different platforms have different advantages/disadvantages. All I want are fair matches that I dont have to wait 30 minutes for. I didnt even queue as DPS. That is unacceptable to me. Kaplan wouldn’t have let this happen. But here we are. PC has advantages over every other platform, the switch is worse than any other platform.

Dude, please. You’re just being ridiculous now. I’m calling you a troll and moving on with my day. I’m a console player who’s been playing on pc servers and even I’m at a 60% win rate. You wanna sit there and stew over a perceived inequality in matchmaking, go right ahead, but if instead of being salty and miserable for no reason you just turn crossplay on and play the damn game, you’d see how much you’re overreacting.

Actually, switch players with gyro on have been devastating to play against. There are some gems out there so don’t count switch out yet!

Another reason why crossplay is terrible. More handicaps other platforms dont have or need… crossplay will cause more players to leave than the total player that play on switch bring in. So XB and PS lose aim assist but switch gets to keep theirs? PC players get to keep their quick reaction times due to KB&M. XB and PS OW players lose the most of all. These two will bleed players due to the crossplay patch. Then how long until PC players start to leave because console player will be holding back PC teams?
Sure we get fast wait times for unfair one sided teams all due to crossplay being forced. (Dont tell me it isnt forced, it is. When you opt out you have to wait 30 minutes for a fair fun match. I’m not going to wait that long because Switch players made a bad purchase of the game on subparr hardware.) Its absolutely forced crossplay and it will kill the game. Casual side is already dying, ranked will also die due to forced crossplay no one even wanted. The game was fine pre update, post update I dont even want OW taking up hard drive space that would be better off storing other competitors games than this crossplay mess we have now.
