In Comp Open Que my first two matches at 8pm are against a 6 stack and I am playing in Solo Que. My team are mostly Solo Que players with one two stack. Why are we playing against a 6 stack? We lost badly. Stuck in spawn scenario against these smurfs.
The very next match I am again in Solo Que and the enemy team is the same exact 6 stack I lost to in the previous match and we lose badly again stuck in spawn.
Then the next match again I lose badly with the enemy team being a 5 stack and I am in Solo Que.
I ended up losing 3 matches in a row with unfair matchmaking.
The Matchmaker currently has no system against groups.
This is not a bug due to there not being a feature functioning in a way it shouldn’t.
If you want to suggest something for this please do so in #general-discussion or #competitive-discussion
Next to that i’d also recommend grouping up with LFG or Friends since it has proven to drastically improve the winrate.
With millions of players. What are the odds that I would play two separate matches in a row back to back against the same 6 stack team? That seems abnormal to me especially since I was playing during prime time.
You would have a high chance considering you both queue’d around the same time resulting in the same queue position.
Thus placing you with each other again.
The match was unfair the first time. They were obviously a six stack of smurfs. We were stuck in spawn with no chance of winning. The the matchmaker puts that team against me again but I have all new teammates.
At the very least matchmaking is unbalanced. My team that lost the first match against them said this was unfair and unbalanced. The other team I was on after that said the same thing when playing against this six stack.
My team had no chance of winning against this six stack. At the very least the matchmaker is not creating balanced matches.
Though this is not an indication of the matchmaker malfunctioning, it’s showing that the matchmaker isn’t made to work against these types of situations which technically results in it becoming more of a suggestion than a bug report.
Now the main reason why you should suggest it in #general-discussion or #competitive-discussion is because of the added visibility of the community, will shine more light and discussion and it will overall start discussion what the matchmaker is missing.
