Nah, it’s gotta be Widows giant shoulder hit boxes

sorry i dont think so

Lmao that’s definitely it, totally not the arrow

Along with everyone having giant hitboxes. Hanzos arrows also have a slight homing in feature similar to how console shooters kind of have slightly sticky aim on targets. It’s not noticable unless you are playing it slowmo but it’s there. It’s been like that since launch.

Frankly if they really tightened up hitboxes on everyone this would not be an issue.

Projectiles hitboxes are not the issue. The issue is in CHARACTER hitboxes that are too forgiving.

Favor the shooter means that people with lag have an advantage when shooting people in the head. That is why it seems that Hanzo’s arrows “homes in”.
The projectile size of Hanzo’s arrows is not to blame.

Damn it bounced out of thin air

did you see the second video ? xD it does not have anything to do with " meis enormous hitbox" that arrow should not work after being stuck on ice

Dude I agree with you, I think Hanzo’s arrows are waaaay too lenient as far as what he gets to kill and what he doesn’t. The fact that it’s a lethal ‘streak’ rather than just a bullet shot means that you can even step into where his arrow was, as in it passed you, but if your internet is wonky it can still kill you because the ‘streak’ is there. I’ve had it happen to me a few times, though admittedly not for several months, this was a while back.

But yeah I still think Hanzo is janky AF.

It’s neither of these. It’s Overwatch’s “favor-the-shooter” when it comes to latency.

It only happens with hanzo

I’ve seen it with Mei’s icicles as well, and I’m sure it will happen with Genji’s shurikens as well.

hanzos arrow is the smallest projectile in the game. the same size as anas sleep dart on pc, and genjis shurikens.

and player hitboxes are larger than the character model.

hanzos arrows are trash according to every stat we have available.

you are also looking at it from client side. not thinking about latency and lag.

the arrow hit you on hanzos screen. your latency just made you feel like you dodged it. in reality it hit you before you moved, but wasn’t fast enough to register on your client side.

hanzo is statistically 1% above where he was in pickrate when he was so bad they felt he needed a rework.

he is not an issue.

you only notice it with hanzo because of your bias.

it happens with every projectile in the game.

it happens with hitscans as well.

hanzos arrows aren’t a streak.

only the middle of the arrow can hit you. the rest is just animated for cosmetics.

That has nothing to do with hitboxes at all. Sonic arrow (presumably because of the way its programmed to stay on the field for the duration of its effect) retains its charged power.

Which means it can be lodged in something, like a shield, then drop and still deal full damage.

The best way to do it, IMO, is to stick it at the top of an approaching brig shield and watch her bash her own face into a headshot

When you combine the player hit box being larger than the character model and projectiles having their own hit boxes… this will happen all the time. Hell, this happens with Roadhog’s hook. This isn’t a Hanzo specific problem.

I bet you they tested projectiles with an accurate hit box and I bet they all sucked outside of really big projectiles. So this won’t change

You only notice it with hanzo because he one-shots most of the time

Clearly a hit OP I don’t know what you’re complaining about.
