Fix Bastion's Accuracy

Because if it’s not useless and it doesn’t match a very specific criteria (which can change at a whim), it’s “brainless”.

Not only this but All spread weapons in Overwatch excluding tracers are trash, hog and reaper suffer the same inconsistency and it is very frustrating.

I have never played Overwatch during a time when Bastion was considered anywhere remotely balanced or viable, and I started shortly before Season 2. I know he was considered brokenly overpowered early in the beta, but that’s because he had a freaking personal barrier, and even then he still wasn’t “balanced”.

His problem has always been that he has too much of his power focused into his immobile sentry form, and Blizzard didn’t do a particularly stellar job of trying to fix that flaw.

Widow is pretty balanced at the moment…
Meta? Yes.
Overpowered? No.

No, I want Bastion to be playable. Those were examples.

I don’t care if Bastion is still f-tier. As long as he doesn’t feel like garbage to play, I’m fine.

They will probably give him a rework after they are done with torb anyways…

Exactly…

How do you speak such words of wisdom.
How have you remained sane through all of this.

I want Bastion to be more playable as well, but increasing his damage output at ANY range is not a viable way to keep the game balanced.

You’re right, that’s my mistake. Still, on a 2-bastion game, that’s 200 raycasts every second. Fairly cheap in isolation, but costly given all the other things that already need to be done.

You wouldn’t have lasted a Second In a real match, in the original Overwatch.

I’m pretty sure hit registers are client side. Hence “favor the shooter”

Even if that were true, i fail to see how it pertains to the conversation

People just want Everything to be “Fun to play against”

Where’s the “You messed up, and got punished” Side of Bastion?

You don’t want for there to be one.
Plain and simple.

Bastion punishes players that don’t respect his space or damage output. Increasing his damage output won’t change that, just exacerbate it. It already takes a significant amount of teamwork to handle good Bastion comps, there’s no reason to make it harder without making it equally more difficult for the Bastion.

Pocketing Bastion (I’m thinking of the damage boost part) was useless back then because he was already doing so much damage.
For the shield part of the baby sitting… I dunno, I didn’t really felt the need to hide behind a shield back then. Also now that we have sombra…

It takes teamwork, to counter teamwork.
-.-?

A hanzo, or even reaper, Can corner spam you from 3 meters away (I have tested this) And Not die, before you so.

Servers still need to run the check against the client’s state. If hit registration was purely client side, cheating would be comically easy, and you could just tell the server that you hit every shot. You’ll note that this doesn’t happen, and cheating for shots requires an actual aimbot.

I don’t think so.
They’d have said something otherwise… Anything.

Hey, i’m a big fan of things taking team work, but an effective Bastion comp already takes so much teamwork to use (and so much more to counter) it would be wise to give him strengths in areas that don’t favor him being a tower defense game.

Sombra.
Reaper.
Done.
