Mercy with 50 hp/sec fells like an off healer, she can barely take care of squishys and if you really try to heal a tank it takes like a year or you cant keep them alive anyway. And besides the start of a fight there is never a chance to damageboost anymore, as long as you dont have a main healer on your side. So at the end of a painfull mercy mains day you can just hold down left klick all the time and sometimes just hope that you dont get killed while rezing (what is most of the time not in your hand) and watching your team dying during the rez, because you couldnt heal them for 2 sec. What a nice gameplay experience, thank you Blizzard!
