It is still a nerf. It making a Mercy more skilful doesnāt change that. Thatās like saying Widow getting her damage decreased is not a nerf if youāre a good Widow main.
I respect your opinion but am still going to have to disagree.
If you tagged me Iām sorry, but I didnāt get the tag. What you propose would be far too detrimental to the absolute core of Mercyās playstyle, not to mention sheās not even in need of a nerf at the moment. What buff would she get in compensation for this?
How exactly itās fun to play, when you give up your mobility for healing, because you canāt stay on the move and heal?

Kiwiās idea was for Mercy to stop healing, if she doesnāt look in direction of teammate for some time. How exactly itās fun, when she doesnāt have high burst healing?
Ummā¦ Iām genuinely confused over here. I donāt want that nerf to happen. I think the way her beams function right now is fine.
Would probably add one thing: allow Mercy to manage her healing and damage boost beams separately. So you can either use both on same teammate, or heal one teammate and boost another(heal tank and boost DPS that is hiding behind that tank).
That adds a bit of flexibility to Valkyrie as well: heal and boost whole team, or heal teammates on point and boost that Pharah/Widowmaker covering objective from distance.
Some people are so head over HEALS for Mercy nerfs, they donāt even realize I guess
Like I said I donāt think itās a nerf that would require a buff as a good Mercy player wont be too much affected by it, as they will still be capable of scanning the battle field pretty fast and looking back at the target theyāre healing.
But if it does prove to hurt Mercy a lot I donāt mind giving her a 55 hp/s rather than the 50 hp/s

Iām gonna give an example of how I play to illustrate - what I like to do is I like to constantly be on the move, so I will attach my beam to a target in need of healing while flying away to a better place for me. Doing this makes me harder to kill. With your suggested change I would not be able to play like this, I would have to ātunnel visionā a lot more.
I respect that this is your opinion, but based on the impact on my favored playstyle I canāt really like them.
As an addendum, Mercyās mobility is the only thing that still makes me play her. Any changes affecting that should be made with great care.
Then the same goes for Mercy, or itāll be a double standart.

Fair enough and I respect your opinion, I do believe you have enough time interval to look at the player your healing and then break los pretty fast, but non the less this does require testing so Iām not sure how itāll go, just wanted to throw it out there with other peopleās suggestion before the thread gets closed (hopefully not) in the hopes that a dev might see it.
