I’m a support/tank main, but I play a ton of hours on Mercy and I agree she needs a subtle nerf. Not as bad as people think, but she needs one change.
Have her only able to rez when in Valk. Remove it as an ability, as damage boost and healing on the same character is already strong enough. In Valk, she can either rez one target immediately (as in, no cast time) or she can rez 2 with the cast time. Your pick. I think that would make her a more fair pick but not a must have like she’s been for over a year.
For Zen, maybe discord does less damage taken.
For Ana, a passive that heals herself. Maybe something like Brigitte where if she lands her shots and does damage, she heals herself slightly.
For Lucio, a buff to sound barrier.
Moira and Brigitte are fine, I think. I still think its BS how Brigitte can shield bash through Rein’s shield, Orisa’s shield, and Winston’s bubble but that appears to be part of her kit.
I don’t think one resurrect is good enough to be a ultimate ability… not when the majority of ultimate abilities in the game can potentially wipe a entire team… her ultimate should have the potential to bring everybody back or keep everybody from dying. Zen and Lucio can potentially save their entire team if they time their ultimate ability correctly. Mercy should have the same impact.
Fun fact, when she had mass resurrect she was considered a troll pick not a must pick. The re-work is what pushed her into must pick status. The simple solution is to take a few steps back and make a few smaller adjustments to fix the issue… remove the invulnerability buff.
One resurrect is not a powerful enough ultimate ability unless it is a ultimate ability that can be earned very quickly.
What I am saying is she can only resurrect while in Valkyrie, here current ultimate. It would still be Valk, but rez would go away unless you were in Valk. The flying and chain healing of Valk doesn’t change.
It would basically be how it was when they first pushed the re-work… well after they made the adjustment to include a cast time. She could only cast a instant resurrect while using her ultimate ability… it would be a small revert. The only trade off is she wouldn’t be able to use it outside of her ultimate ability. Which people rarely did at that point since it would be a higher risk versus reward to try and pull it off outside of her ultimate ability. They clearly don’t want her to have any real power… they want her to be a spectator camera with the ability to heal people.
I’m sorry if I sound frustrated, I am frustrated because Blizzard continues to change things drastically when simple adjustments would suffice. They use the sledgehammer method on everything… lol. Don’t use a sledgehammer to fix everything.

I dont want her to be bad at all, but little tuning down is required now.
She gives me this guts feeling that she is too much and not having her feels bad>leads to forced picks>bad balance>toxicity.
Since launch all heroes who gave me that feel were nerfed.
Remove rez as ability and add one instant rez on ult or tune healing/surviveability.
Mercy mains, noone normal wants any hero in trash tier but little tuning down wouldnt hurt.
And no, buffing other healers to be powerful as Mercy would only cause big mess.

She has no more room for nerfs. She needs a rework.
