[Feedback Thread Continued Part III] Mercy Updates - Jan 30, 2018

It would be a whole lot more stoppable if we still had mass rez, darnit.

That’s why I said, that they are trying very hard to not return it. But, since Hanzo still one of best DPS, and Mercy still can boost his ult charge, healer composition may remain the same. It may become Mercy+Zenyatta+Ana instead, however, with Mercy boosting Ana for quicker nanoboost for dragons.

Nano has no DmgB for dragons as well.

Bleh. If they returned mass rez, dive heroes would once again be able to shut Mercy down and force her to switch to an anti-dive healer.

Right now mercy doesn’t have to switch at all, since killing her doesn’t hinder her progress towards rez (since it’s on a cooldown), and Valkyrie is an easy mode where you heal from the skybox where no dive heroes cash reasonably reach you.

So, they just removed any way to boost dragons?

Correct
Only Zen’s still works.

Wow, that’s really inconsistent game design. Either all the ults should be able to be damage boosted, or none.

Not sure if it will help them anyway: having your ult prepared earlier is never a bad thing.

And that would be a heavy nerf to Ana. If all Ult’s can’t be boosted.

I’m in the “all ults should be boostable” camp, though…

The devs just need to suck it up and bring back mass rez so that gravdragons has a hard counter again.

Not only dragons. Even with dragons out of picture, Mercy can boost D.va’s ult, or tactical visor, or barrage, to achieve similar results. DPS can be replaced, but killing other team faster and gaining ult sooner just too valuable. With Hammond joining the party, it’s even more valuable: constant mine fields on the objective.

Well, this nerf won’t even change the Meta at all. It just makes Zen more a mustpick because now he is the only one which can buff dragons and counter it, Mercy is not changing at all.

This would be a huge nerf to Ana, not to mention an incredibly stupid one.

You know, you hear about changes and think that they are not the best solutions to problems, or that they don’t actually address problems. And it’s frustrating. But wow, do they sure go out of their way to make things worse with every change!

It’s the horrific design of Valkyrie. It’s starts to contaminate the rest of the game with bad design choices as well.

I mean, it’s one thing when you hear that deflect is getting adjustments. Like, okay, that makes sense. Then you hear about a damage boost change and you’re like, “What? WHAT? Are you serious?” And it’s not just Mercy changes.

Well… this nerf wouldn’t be needed if Mercy revert wouldn’t have happened. And this is why i say that the revert has an impact on other heroes as well now and as we can see not a good one.

Expect them to make some heroes unable to be boosted, with or without ult.

You mean like Hanzo? Because of his amazing new ability.

And Widow. Like why even have damage boost then?

Are we taking it away from Hog so he can’t one-shot a hook, too?

Where does it end???

Hanzo will be first. And in the end, they just remove damage boost, justifying it by “no one uses it anyway”.:female_detective:

STOP RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE!
You are too close to the trush, and you must “go”.
