Coming in here with some faux sense of sympathy which is brimming with condescension and gloating is what’s the issue here. Calling this thread and all concerns about Mercy unhealthy… what is with this mindset? It’s both belittling and blatantly wrong.
Same stance could be said for Mercy before the rework.
This is a prime example of someone not looking at the context a post was made in and simply attacking it as a stand-alone comment.
Context my friend.
Actually, Andrej made a valid point.
It is players like SquidKD who act like an arrogant blind sided child that is quietly being sheppars along and agree to every random bs, that resulted in mercy change in the first play.
What Squid said doesn’t even align with the views of people who support Mercy’s current state. It’s just BS overall.
You can’t reach them, unfortunately.
But, just in case, I’ll explain: there is no counter to grav combo anymore, damage boosted/nano-boosted dragons cut through anything, including transcendence. And it won’t be only ult spent on grav combo.
Once your team is caught in one, it’s over.
Completely off topic, but I actually like when my team gets grav killed. Rarely is anyone dumb enough to ult to save themselves, and we all die at the same time which makes us automatically group up for the enxt push with (usually) an ult advantage.
But uhh… back on topic… Mercy and stuff. She is still amazing imo, sorry she isn’t fun for so many people
Did they officially un-pin this thread? I thought it was just that bug at first, but I’m not seeing an option to re-pin it.
I thought me not being able to pin it was me forgetting how to do it because I’ve rarely pinned threads. So is it completely incapable of being pinned even on the poster side??
So… another try of making us forget about the thread?
Anyway, today I saw video about being a good Widow, in which you had some really old clips, even with mas res present ;-;
But anyway, just see that clip:

Mas res so not counterable.
So they finally unpined it…Well I’m off to beat update 4.3 in FF14
Guess that mean when finally stop pretending about reading it “daily”.
This thread will continue, just like unofficial megathread about Mei back on old forums. Devs will have constant reminder every time they open main page, of what they did.
Well at least we can stop pretending. We’ve offered up feedback in abundance ever since the rework hit the PTR last August. Most of it in-depth, concise and thoughtful, but the simple fact is that it was feedback that the devs didn’t want to hear - that large parts of the design was and is broken, and should be worked on again.
Jeff’s statement about pick/winrates seems almost petulant - like it was more about finding any excuse to not acknowledge any of the critique and feedback given, exactly in the same veins as the people who keep repeating: “She’s balanced, go away!” when what they really mean is: “She’s not a threat I need to worry about in my game now that she can’t undo my ‘hard work’, so Mercy players’ experience doesn’t matter.”
It’s really sad, and also extremely ironic when you consider Jeff’s history as an angry Redditor in the EverQuest days. The very way he’s now refusing to actually engage with players over legitimate gameplay design concerns, is exactly what he was railing against back then.
What I meant by ‘right direction’ was they stop moving Mercy feedback here and allow some discussion to now continue on the main forum as it should be. Alternatively, they use this megathread as it should’ve been used.
Hopefully it wasn’t unstickied just to further hide what’s going on with the way this megathread has been handled so far.

I thought me not being able to pin it was me forgetting how to do it because I’ve rarely pinned threads. So is it completely incapable of being pinned even on the poster side??
As it’s unpinned, yes, all you can do is bookmark it.

Totally agree.
I think the dev team have been more than adequate in giving Mercy players a place to give feedback and chat.
It’s time to either pick a new hero or accept that balance is part of a game like this. Simple.
If they actually read the feedback and discussed some of it then that would be acceptable. If there weren’t issues with Mercy such as ‘on fire’ then it would also be okay. However, fortunately it looks like this thread has been finished with though as it’s unpinned.
I’m tired of hearing this lie about the fact that mercy is good! You killed her! Destroyed the hero a few nerfs and now tell people that everything is fine! though if everything was good it would not have been this megathrade!
So the other day I stumbled across another interview with Jeff and I think I finally figured out what the issue is.
The vast majority of human beings on the planet don’t know how to constructively give feedback. They usually say “That’s broken!” and “That’s terrible!” or they make wild suggestions that don’t actually fix the problem. But that doesn’t mean that their opinion is wrong. You have to filter out the mean part of it, you have to ask yourself: Is there actually a problem there and if so, how can we fix it? It depends if you respect the game designers that you’re giving the feedback to. If you do, you can show that you know that it’s not a trivial thing that anybody could do and you could say: “Hey Jeff, I’m not sure exactly what it is, but something feels off about Scatter Arrow. I’d appreciate it if you and your team could look into it and maybe make it better.” That’s kind of what you want to hear.
Hey Jeff, I’m not sure exactly what it is, but something feels off about Valkyrie. I’d appreciate it if you and your team could look into it and maybe make it better.
that copy paste was so true it hurt
Ps valks fine
Widows ult doesn’t kill 5 people by pressing a button. And since Mercys ult charged up by healing people instead of killing or damage boosting that makes her ult more skill-less
