I’m sure someone is being forced to read this thread (and the other one) at least in some capacity. But not the ones who should be reading it. Like how the devs had NO CLUE about the Doomfist thread back on the old forums (how???).
But whoever is stuck reading this mess, even if just for moderating the posts, I feel bad for them. My sympathies, whoever you are.

They’ve said though at one point, when I asked them, that they’d welcome other changes, as long as they made Mercy fun (while remaining balanced) to play again. This mentality that Mercy mains are selfish, uncompromising, and unreasonable has been a battle in itself these past 8 months or so.

I am nearly perfectly fine with where she’s at. I’ve mained Mercy on PC and console for ages now. I was fine with mass rezz going bye bye. I was fine with the nerfs to moth mercy. Even the slower rezzes. But because of the slower rezzes i’ve always thought removing the free valk rez was a bit much.
A Mercy valk’s and floats into the middle of a team fight without thinking and tries going for the second rez. she should easily be picked off. If she gets it off they cant really say crap about it because they could have easily stopped her from doing it. Especially since they should have been looking for it the moment they heard “HELDEN STERBEN NICHT”
So basically my only complaint with mercy’s current status, is that i think she should get her free valkyrie rez back due to the time rezzing actually takes nowadays.

That post was a statement iregards to someone completely ignoring context of another post and purposefully being argumentative to anyone who disagreed. They weren’t trying to be open to any sort of discussion and it’s really blatant in their name with “Revertmercy.”
It would be like if I was named something like Bringbackscatter then got super defensive with anyone who disagreed or even had a different point of view.
Edit: It’s late here, and I forgot to address the other part to to your post. It is cool if they are open to other possible ideas. The thread we were posting in before it got merged into this one showed no hint of that however. I do not mean to be unfair to them or anyone else. I’m not sure why you think that I think you, or mercy mains in general, are being selfish. I do think that particular poster was being unfair in the thread I was posting in, which is an important difference.

A free instant resurrect is certainly better than what we have (during Valkyrie). I’ve started going Battle Mercy during Valkyrie and reducing the amount of time I heal or damage boost during Valkyrie, as Battle Mercy during Valkyrie is pretty much the only thing that has the potential to strongly change the outcome of a team fight. If that was the only thing they’d do then I’d settle for that, better than nothing.

I dunno about an instant rez now. As in press E and they rez instantly-
I was talking when using valk you could rez twice using the same time it takes currently to rez. Like the old days but not instant.
That way it wouldn’t really feel cheap to anyone because it would be easily preventable. But with smart planning and playing still possible for the mercy to pull off.
It would make her ult feel a bit more useful. which seems to be what most people complain about with mercy nowadays. But it wouldn’t really be cheap or anything like that either due to how easily the second rez could be prevented. If she even got past the first rez that is. More often then not i see mercy’s get killed off before they even get a rez off.

For me, Tracers were the worst. Seeing a Tracer running directly at me still gives me VietMercy flashbacks.

After rework, worst thing was to find Junkrat trap under teammate you trying to res. Made me pay extreme attention to floor near killed teammate.

The Tracers are iffy for me.
I can aim my little pew pew pistol pretty well. So half the time a Tracer rushes at me i can kill them. Not all the time because if they realize im competent at shooting they run off. Or sometimes i just screw up all my shots and they get me anyways. But i typically get murdered 100% of the time when they sneak up behind me. Their ability to get behind a Mercy is what makes em so dangerous to them.
