Personally, I think Mercy needs an ability that will HELP make her ultimate STRONGER.
Mercy’s ultimate (Resurrect) needs to work exactly like deadeye does.
The more health an ally has the longer it takes to Resurrect that ally.
The less health an ally has the shorter it takes to Resurrect that ally.
The ultimate (with the initial Q press) will begin to lock onto ALL allies, not just dead ones.
The ultimate will bring back the skull with the x number of players dead, cause I miss that sooooo much.
You need to be in LOS in order to start the Lock on process onto your allies in order to Resurrect them, AS WELL as be able to Resurrect them as well.
You can shorten the length it takes in order to Resurrect an ally, but the lock on will be affected by enemy barriers just like McCree OR give her a longer length lock on where it isn’t affected by enemy barriers, Personally, I want it to be blocked by enemy barriers because Tanks will have a chance to deny Resurrect as well.
The ultimate (with the second Q press) will activate her ultimate reviving all allies who are dead, while providing a burst heal to all allies who are alive.
Reviving allies back will need a full lock on in order to Resurrect them.
Healing allies who are alive don’t need to have a full lock on but it will be proportionate to how much lock on that ally has. Same as McCree where he will damage you still if it isn’t fully locked on.
THAT would be the only way to balance Resurrect as an ultimate.
Then give her Valkyrie on a shorter cooldown, that will give Mercy something fun to do while she is trying to charge up her ultimate.
4 or 5 second active time on a 12 second cooldown
Main beam target will gain 80HP/s 40%DMB and chain beam targets will receive 40HP/s and 20%DMB nerfing Valkyrie’s overall healing/DMB output.
Increasing GA Range and Beam range to 1.5x instead of 2.0x the normal length.
Reverting the speed nerf in compensation for getting rid of uninterrupted passive regen
This means her ability isn’t affected by her ultimate but her ability will affect how well her ultimate will be. IE. Being much easier to see ally souls, being more evasive in the air etc, STILL BEING ABLE TO HEAL/DMB ALLIES WHILE CASTING RESURRECT! (Which is a HUGE reason as to the change of Mercy)
That is how 3.0 Mercy should work.
