[Feedback Thread Continued] Mercy Updates - Jan 30, 2018

Section 1
Angelic Health Concept - gives a reason for Mercy to stay in the fight:

  • Angelic Health is like a “second health bar” via a Glowing Outlined Portion of a teammate’s health bar.
  • Angelic Health represents the % Health Restored by Resurrect.
  • Angelic Health starts at and never goes below a base health of 50% (maybe it could just be starting a 0%).
  • Angelic Health does not count towards a teammate’s current health, but instead to the possible increase in % Health Restored by using Resurrect.
  • Angelic Health is applied by the Healing Beam only (even to full health teammates).
  • Angelic Health decays as soon as the Healing Beam is removed
  • Damage Boost Beam neither charges nor allows Angelic Health to decay (or maybe it decays slowly during damage boost).
  • This concept goes in hand with restoring Resurrect to the Ultimate.
  • This concept may work well with a weakened Valkyrie on “E”
  • This gives a good reason to keep healing beam on full health teammates (otherwise Angelic Health will decay)
  • I do not believe this would raise her skill floor too high but would provide greater depth in her play.

Section 2
Resurrection Ultimate Reworked

Activation Range = 5 meters (expand for details)
  • Uses the current 5 meter radius
  • Mercy must be within 5 meters of a soul in order to Rez
  • LOS required on the first soul only
  • Souls within the 15 meter radius are Rezzed
Variable Health Restored, but 50% is by default (See Angelic Health Concept above) (expand for details)
  • Teammates who have the healing beam on them prior to death gain a charge of Angelic Health
  • Angelic Health determines how much % health is restored by Resurrect on top of the base 50% health restored.
  • The objective of this ofc is to give Mercy and her teammates a good reason not to have her hide because hiding will not apply Angelic Health which makes for a stronger Resurrect.

Section 3
Mini Valkyrie

Duration 5 sec & Cooldown 20 sec (expand for details)
  • Short duration, but long cooldown provide both Mercy and her opponents oppunities in team fights
  • Mercy has an in-fight ability to encourage the Mercy to stay involved in team fights and discourage Mercy’s team from telling them to hide.
  • Can be cancealed early, but cooldown is not refunded (maybe)
Limited Flight along the lines of a less powerful GA on a longer cooldown (expand for details)
  • Valkyrie pushes Mercy vertical with press & hold “E”.
  • Valkyrie would no longer provide hover (maybe)
  • Valkyrie would not increase Mercy’s speed (use GA for that)
Weakened Chained Heal Beams (thou I'd rather just get rid of them) (expand for details)
  • Valkyrie provides chain healing at a reduced rate (50% less per beam or 30hps).
  • Valkyrie is no longer the Ultimate so it need not do an “Ultimate level” (not that it does right now) of healing if you want stronger AOE healing pick Moira or Lucio.
  • Chained Healing Beams apply Angelic Health at the same rate as the primary beam (maybe)
Chained Damage Boost Beams = NO (expand for details, heh)
  • Want chained damage boost? Pick Orisa.
Temporary Shield provided (maybe) (expand for details)
  • Passive Health Regeneration is suspended in flavor of a temporary shield for the duration of Valkyrie.
  • The Shield cannot regenerate.
  • Essentially you get a small sheild on use, but trade Passive Health Regeneration for it.
