"failed to connect to server" error while queuing

Every time I queue for a game, after a few seconds of trying to connect, I get the error “Failed to connect to server.” This has caused me to lose SR and get penalized. However, when I switch to a different Wi-Fi connection (my phone’s hotspot) or use a vpn, the servers seem to work just fine. This doesn’t make sense because I have no issues playing other games on my usual home Wi-Fi.

Initially, I only encountered this problem when trying to join Deathmatch or custom games, but not in Competitive or Quick Play. Recently, though, it has started affecting all queues.

Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I couldn’t find any answers on the official forums or from Blizzard support, and I can’t keep playing on my hotspot.

It is definitely the server problem. This issue has been reported in tech support but nothing changes.

i’m having the same problem. it’s been 2 months now and i still can’t play this game
