So i have been experiencing this issue after the recent update. On my main account I am experiencing long waits in matchmaking even more than 44 minutes. I have tried quick play and comp and other modes as well but they are absurdly long. Prior to this update, I played Competitive almost daily last season on the same account and consistently found matches within a reasonable time.
To troubleshoot, I tested matchmaking on a newly created alternate account on the same PS5, same internet connection, and same region. On that account, I was able to find matches within 1–2 minutes without any issues. This makes me believe the problem may be specific to my main account rather than my console, network, or region.
Because of this, I wanted to ask:
-
Is it possible that my main account has been placed under some kind of restriction, soft matchmaking penalty, or hidden MMR issue?
-
Are there any known bugs related to matchmaking queues after the recent update, particularly on PlayStation?
-
Is there anything I can check or do on my end to resolve this issue?
Approximately one month ago, I received a one-time warning from PlayStation Network related to PlayStation messaging (outside of the game). This warning was not related to in-game behavior, and there were no suspensions or restrictions applied. I have not received any warnings, penalties, or notifications from Blizzard Entertainment, and I am mentioning this only in case it is relevant.
