They are capable of disrupting at least 5 matches in the span of 10 minutes, maybe more. That’s 50 people effected in those 5 matches.
So suspensions happen to stop this.
A single bad teammate is only disrupting a match for 9 people.

People do get mad at their teammates being something like 0/+10. Iv seen it in my own matches.
Many reasons, they maybe are new players (which is good, more people joining the game), or they are just overall bad.
Sometimes you get new players or bad players, GG, we all have bad luck sometimes.

Because ppl being bad in the match dont create more bad players in the same match. Most of which are also out of their control ie getting placed in the wrong lobby/new players.
Leavers just create more leavers and is 100% in the leaver’s control. Yes there are dc’s/game crashing thats out of your control but its not enough to the point you drop below the threshold for punishments.

Happens more than you think. I have Spectrum for an ISP and when it works, it works well, which is rare. I get high lag, d/c’s randomly. Couple that with an old PSU I had to replace which was causing stability issues, and you can see why someone can get over the limit without even meaning to.
Oh, I get mad at both, it’s just that leavers are worse. I can work around having a bad player. I can’t work around having no player.
Besides, ruining one lobby per match is better than ruining several in the same timespan.

OW doesn’t have a mode where you’re supposed to try but isn’t Ranked. Some say QP is sweatier than comp.
RQ QP seems like it’s supposed to be this mode, but “it’s only qp” and despite installing penalties onto it, the devs refuse to tell people not to mess around in it (because it’s the most popular mode and for whatever data reason devs want everyone to play it).
So unless you’re in Comp, the filthy casuals aren’t in the wrong to ruin games however they like (until they get actioned from enough AFK/Sabotage reports over time).
Doesn’t matter that there’s MH, Arcade, Customs, PVE, vs AI, and whatever else, people want to be casual in QP and since that’s probably the majority, that’s what they get.
TL;DR: This will continue to be a culture issue until there's a 'QP Serious/Scrim' mode.

They aren’t disrupting 50 people. Those people aren’t even playing Overwatch half the time or it’s one group of sweats beating up mostly new players. Nobody wants to play matches that are predetermined or with a team that just gives up space for free until they lose.
Honestly, if everyone in the lobby agrees, then there’s nothing wrong with messing around in it.
The hypocritical thing about “it’s just qp” is more that these people who mess around never asked anyone they are affecting (not even the teammates who had the misfortune of queuing into them) if they are fine with them messing around.
It’s almost like they don’t really care about anyone else in the lobby in the first place.

Exactly this. People play this game like it’s single player, and other people defend this stance.
I get we’re all truly alone in the world, but like I’m playing OW because I actually want teamplay, not Widow’s solo point-and-click adventure.

Ya cause leaving is them making a mistake.
Them going 0-10 is matchmaker mistake unless they are throwing intentionally.
Putting low elo players in higher elos is a horrible experience for both of them.
I have this game on paper it’s close 2-1 on 1 cp
But on one hand I have a support that died 12 times struggles in Lucio he wasn’t reddit throwing he tried his best.
On other hand enemy have a support that has 1 death.
I won’t report that Lucio even if we had lost cause he wasn’t having a good time either.

I’m just happy we will get a better replacement most of the time.
Yesterday we had this sym that was throwing so bad ragec at supports and left while playing against pharah who I got to swap to bastion by end of round even though we lost round.
The funny thing was she was replaced by another sym main.
The difference was epic how against the same comp this sym was being so useful with proper turrets and tps to let me and moira keep control of high ground.
Like we breezed through.
I honestly liking playing with these downtrodden dps like sym mei junkrat they really like working with others if they are good.

is gameplay sabotage and reportable and they get bigger suspension for it than 2 mins if it’s a regular behaviour with enough reports.
