I see these as separate issues. One is a balance thing where I believe that Sigma is a main/off tank rolled into one (if you’re referring to the current meta while the other is more of a… social issue…?
I’m a little lost tbh, my comment was more of an off the cuff agreement with what you saying then anything…
Indeed. I was never for 222 but I knew it wasn’t the be all and end all the hype machine made it out to be. I just like playing roles and having other roles support/Tank/Damage with me =\ even if I change to deal with X threat, I’ve suddenly left another hole to deal with (one less impactful than the hole I’m trying to fill. At least I hoped).
You’re fine man, I just wasn’t sure if you were citing Monlyth’s hashtags as though he was being serious or satirical, so I thought I’d clear things up just in case
i have actually been pleasantly surprised at how much i like 222.
I actually quite like support. Its very challenging to me and I like feeling like I am the one helping my team be better. But evidently… i’m very trash at support compared to tanks and dps. This wasnt something I knew prior to 222.
But prior to 222, my support hours dictated my perception from fellow teammates. They saw hours so if I played dps, I had to eventually switch back to support because my own tank or support would switch off because of my hours. Or because my dps hours aren’t catered anywhere. I don’t “main” any hero. I flex and always have. but to others, it meant I was throwing.
I dont mind switching. I feel like we have finally, enough tanks and supports to deal with issues properly for once in different roles. And because of that, I like that for once, if i get wrecked as tracer, I can switch safely and not have my tank or support screech that I don’t know how to play soldier.
I’m doing fine. I switched because I was getting decked. Let me do my job.
I think it;s way more in my control and that I can more securely play with my team on my roles because they are so much more stable.
I was expecting a rise in one tricks but tbh, that really hasnt happened. I was hesitant for long ques but that also hasnt really happened outside of dps and even then, the game is much better for me to play with my allies on whatever role, so I am not mad.
Role queue disproportionately effects streamers negatively. The large streamers play in high ranks which have less people in the sr range and they play dps which have the most people. Their queue times have skyrocketed. They are also the ones that can’t afford to wait in the queues for very long as they risk losing viewers in the down time. Blizzard’s two solutions are either removing role queue which they won’t (and in my opinion shouldn’t) or giving streamers priority in the dps queues. Anything short of that will either lose the streamers or negatively effect other players like pairing high ranked dps with lower ranked tanks and support.
Yeh, I’m definitely need to improve on contributing to damage + positioning as Bap. Switching between modes is hard >_> throwing in some spray into the barrier is easy, but I gotta improve at helping the team secure kills without sacrificing the heals. It’s nice not being the solitary main support/tank though.
nobody wants to play or watch the seizure inducing meta that is double barrier sym and doom. It’s a long wait to play and then you have a garbage meta that’s even more of a forced mirror than GOATS because there are fewer options to counter by playing a weird comp.
Uhhhh I’m a flex player and am fine with the changes. I actually find the matches to be more challenging and less “my team stomps or gets stomped” than before, getting more draws than before.
I do feel bad for the majority who want their DPS fix, but I don’t think that’s fundamentally a 2-2-2 problem, it’s a problem with not having tanks or supports that DPS players would enjoy playing or want to play.
Then you are lucky i guess? Before i left i had similiar like you until someone swiched to doomfist. It was turning game to one side fight as usualy. Or when he was from the start too. And when bouth team had him, it was about who have better doom.
Watching kills from spawn, and see that killfeed is just one or other doomfist killing everyone was such terrible experience.
Are you going to play hardcore disingenuous now?
Your entire comment smells like it. You didnt “respectfully disagree” dude, re read your comment again:
“And here we see the anti-2-2-2 posters, desperate to say “I told you so” anytime anyone voices a minor complaint about the new system, no matter how petty it may be.”
Those parts in bold CLEARLY show you are triggered. Dont lie. Everyone can see it. Its there and not up for debate. Period.
Hardcore strawman and wrong. It is a good indicator and again, you can’t dismiss it just because it suits your point dude. Thats not how it works. You are doing it again, applying a double standard and playing disingenuous and acting like A LOT of the supporters didn’t list streamers and players coming back to the game for 222 as a reason.
I never said you said they were a vocal majority, dont go so hardcore on a strawman mate, I am a specialist in calling people out and i already got you twice. YOU said however that the people complaining is the vocal minority and they are throwing “minor” complains.
Again BUSTED trying to diminish the impact of the complains and claiming the proof against your overall stance is not relevant.
Again, as always, you are way out of your depth and absolutely triggered, your hashtag spam again proves me right
I personally don’t care about streamers, they offer little to no value to society as a whole and some encourage bad behavior by acting like children every time something doesn’t go their way. I miss the days when people just played video games and streaming wasn’t a thing.
No one has numbers to prove any of these claims being thrown around.
Forums never represent a majority of the games’ population.
How can 2-2-2 be an improvement for the game when we have wait lines of 4-10 minutes? Yeah, Im not going to sit around watching news articles and youtube just to WAIT in line to play a game of Overwatch. If this is the case the maps need to be 3x the size, Spawn times need to be 50% less and if the team is going to steam role us. We need AUTO-BUFFS to prevent that…
Changes the game and completely doesn’t feel fun either way. Just revert it and if people want their precious lovely 2s than I think THAT should be in Arcade. Not this present treatment of us.
More people are finding this 2s thing is NOT fun and more people just LEAVE. Arcade mode is NOT an excuse either. The mode is broken over there and doesn’t have the same balancing like it use to.
After nearly 1,500 hours of gameplay i’d rather face reasonable amounts of losses and take my chances on a 30 second que time vs waiting 10 minutes to get a 49% loss ratio vs a 40% loss ratio at 30 seconds. (GIVE OR TAKE, w/e)This is what I observe for MY games I play with other people.
EXAMPLE from my experiences in life:
I run a FARM business, a honeybee business. bugs that sting and I haul them across the country by truck n trailer to new fields. The other day I had to repair my Semi truck. I didn’t want to have to travel out of town searching for a battery cable connect. 1/0 Connectors are hard to come by.
So I spent 4 hours of my life looking around town in the small stores for a connector, when I could have just drove 30 minutes to the nearest CMV truck store for the connectors. I wasted that time. The town’s stores told me to switch it to a NEW connector type, yet i knew that what I needed was the original connector.
I drove the 30 minutes and got the results I wanted, and it was much better than me just settling with what I did for 4 hours.
Time management in life is the difference between a known chance at success vs an unknown chance at results.
Several content creators I follow said they left overwatch be as updates were so slow. 1 new character every few months or new map. Content gets stale quickly.
Personally I don’t care for role queue. Those that do like it I won’t bash you. Different opinions are healthy.
Or you could stop using fallacies, like the “False choice” one and stop pretending that 5 DPS comps were not the most rare and weird outlier ever, as the Developers stated already.
Just a thought.
Queues are a problem, it is verified. Its not a “memememe I dont like the color of my car” issue. Its not a matter of taste, its a REAL issue and its driving people away from the game. You can still act “cool” and shrug it off with a classic “meh, selfish DPS mains, we dont need them” but using fallacies is quite dishonest.
Blizzard have stated queue times below master are 3-6 minutes for most people, that is the only verification we have. You should stop using fallacies yourself.
Absolutely false. I didn’t use any fallacy dude, I literally played this week with 10-12 minute queues on DPS in plat.
Before trying to call anyone a liar, post your sources because that sounds made up on the spot mate. Specially when I see everyday streamers with even LONGER queues.
