Every single game of clash:

do you genuinely believe that unhappy with mode people don’t also exist outside the forum? There’s also reddit, twitter, literally anywhere online.

I’ve had multiple times, from multiple different people IN GAME ask people to dodge the comp game because it was clash.

People don’t like the mode.

they had to go all the way down to 5 years old because they’re probably 13

Worst mode in the game by far. I wish they would just make more maps for the modes that people actually like instead of trying to come up with new modes

This is literally every match of Clash I’ve played.

They learned nothing from the early tests.

So much of this.

It’s like “Well we lost/won that point, lets use our ultimates to swing it even harder.”

I feel like people who don’t like clash tend to have poor game sense. The number of times people fail to regroup for next fights, understand when momentum has swung against them, save ults for next fight, etc.

Its just basic OW principles in a different game mode. You have 1-2 people on point capturing. You have like 2-3 people pushing up to shoot people stopping them from pushing chokes while those supports on point heal the people up front trying to prevent the push.

Or basic spreading out left or right around the objective to get through a choke point. Understanding not to chase enemy team that far.

Yep; literally every time I get the mode the chat is filled with unhappy people. The mode is hated.

And why wouldn’t it be? Wasn’t the part of Assault that people hated the endless staggerfest on the final point? Why then would the same people enjoy a mode where you can have up to 9 capture points all of which have this problem?

2CP was plagued by one team has to defend literally all game with massive spawn advantage on final point and all it took was enemy team to win one fight per point to take the entire objective with a long walking distance.

Clash is much better about that because you have both attacking and defending teams and shorter respawn points.

The middle three spawns both teams have equal distance spawns. Its only final point where teams have often high ground and defender advantage.

That’s literally why it’s worse - if played optimally, it turns into a constant stagger fest. The main reason why Assault was despised.

I don’t need an explanation lol. I understand it well; I’ve won majority of my games on it and understand how to play it properly. Doesn’t mean it’s a well designed game mode. Depressing since the maps are overall well designed and look great.

Staggering is not unique or even an issue on clash. The stagger issue is long walking distance which is present on every single map type the closer to defender spawns you get. Clash is insanely well balanced when you have 25sec for each point unlock and 18-20sec to take an objective and most points have equal spawn advantage.

You have so much bloody time to regroup to even lose a fight and still regroup to attempt to take point from enemy team again. This is just regular gamers with poor understanding of how to play overwatch and the back and forth nature of the game.
