Would be a ton of fun, but you all play on PCā¦
oh gosh! Yeah, forgot that you are on console.
ack! well, come over the PC side, BP!
If I had myself a PC to play on, I most certainly would⦠Iāve met so many friends here and I wish I could play with you all.
The feeling is mutual, my friend.
No worries. with OW2 coming and hopefully, given Blizzās track record, the game would be here for a while⦠long enough for you to get yourself on PC =)
That would be really nice. I have to start saving up though, because as of now Iām broke lolā¦
Ha ha! That makes most of us, aye? Broke that is.
Moreover, i believe that you are still a student, yes?
It is times like these and with the declining or at least, stagnant, numbers in the OW Console population, that i wonder why the Developers do not implement Cross Play, because Square Enix had been doing it for decades with FFXI and FFXIV. Granted, it is easier for MMORPGs because it is not strictly competitive PvP so players would not cry āfoulā but if the recent Experimental Card has shown anything, it is that the population is willing to be Beta testers and would provide feedback (ill conceived or otherwise).
So perhaps a Cross Play Experimental Card as an Arcade mode could be introduced just to see if it works. Competitive mode, yes, keep it within the various platforms but for Arcade and in the future OW2ās PvE, why not?
They could just make crossplay then make separate hidden ques for KB+M, console and gyro. That would solve it for Comp as well. But lets hope OW2 does it. Id like to play with you in a group sometime. I have 140-180ms latency on the US servers.
[Everlasting Hope
- Positivity in the Face of Negativity]
I had mentioned this occurrence in some of my earlier posts prior to this but here it is.
It was just a couple of days back on a Sunday evening (which is early Monday morning, about 6am in my timezone).
I had some free time (i managed my time to get off work early) and was able to join my buddy, Raduk, in his quest to break out of Bronze and on his stream āThe Bronze Lifeā.
He already had a group going and only DPS was available and although i had never played DPS in Comp mode games, iād figured, why not, just try, right?
All was fine. Had a number of good games and encountered a 6-stack of throwers (they were literally jumping off the map) and encountered a stack of smurfs twice in consecutive games (from 2:48:46 onward).
In the second game, the smurf stack really laid on the chatter and that obviously tilted two of my team mates really badly which spilled over into our next game.
This can be seen in both the Match chats and in our team audio.
How i reckon that my group got badly tilted (but not Raduk, he was still laughing away as usual) is in the last game, my co-Tank went off to play Flank Hog on defence when he was actually playing well throughout the 3-4 hours of play.
What is positive about all this one might ask is how Raduk (and probably myself) displayed poise, courtesy and maintained his enthusiasm throughout the last hour and a half.
He continued to banter and encourage everyone.
Openly engaged in polite conversation and discussion.
Switched roles with me because i could not really play Support just to keep me in the game(s).
I believe that if we, as a gaming community, irrespective of skill tier; wish to build a good environment, people like Raduk should be role models.
So to me, this entire episode had been positive because there are good people out there and actively trying to make a difference.
I guess that we can get started on our own if the Everlasting Hope group is still around. If not, we can always just add one another in game.
SL, your latency is quite high, are you in the U.S.?
Or perhaps you are in Singapore or some parts of South-East Asia?
No, im from Central Europe. EU servers have 20-30ms for me.
Ah! Yes, i see!
So it appears that we get similar latency when we hit the U.S.
I tried to get on the EU servers, the latency is like 220-250ms.
Not playable for me.
Actually 140-180ms is playable for me. Except for the animations of dashing abilities are delaying a little bit like Doom Punch, Brig Bash, Genji Dash. EU servers can be instable sometimes.
Yes, i had been playing with Raduk and his groups with a stable 178-180ms latency. Definitely playable with a little lag. Hitscan seems to be ok.
EU, i tried once. Had over 200ms and that was really bad.
That would not be a bad idea really, QP or whatever. I donāt give myself a set schedule, yet, probably will soon if the streaming gig works out. Plus a good excuse to stop bringing work home with me lol
I am east coast US. Usually early to late evening I am around, weekends are hit or miss but if I planned something reasonable, I am sure I could be in attendance for such a gathering.
I would totally play cross play with you guys. It would make the game so much more fun!
Yeah, we really should, those of us on PC anyways.
Letās see how we can do this. It would be a blast despite the latency issues.
On a sidenote, Raduk burst out of Bronze yesterday for Tank! Yay!
I was glad that i was there and helped to contribute to some of his Wins together with the members who were following his stream (he has been in a 6-stack for the past few weeks)
Yes indeed!
Blizz! You guys need to do this!
Yes indeed, I mean have to have my stream too, I still need to set that up, lacked the time, even though it shouldnāt be hard, software, no cam and a platform.
I am on tonight on and off for a bit then probably not back on until tomorrow night
Yes, please update me, dude. Have you decided if you intend to do it with Twitch or Mixer? I admit, i am not familiar with the latter.
I am not familiar with either. Twitch just sounds like the norm, some people believe mixer is better. I have to sit down and review any differences between the two, but I think I might be leaning more Twitch
Great! My Twitch sub is waiting!
